Shaw makes fun of Saro's plight and polambulfies his own fate. Saro ignores him before asking Shaw to help out with his money problems. Shaw gives an estimate of 24-25 lakhs to buy the gold. Shaw tells him about a money lender but warns him about the interest. Saro not listening properly and agrees. Shaw in deep thinking mode, thinking Sandanam's dialogue in Boss Engira Baskaran. 😆

Saro and his dad bug Soundarya about her marriage, but she is not interested 👍🏼. Saro's dad tells his son to stop bugging Soundarya 👏. Saro says he feels bad because she is alone and he is getting married. His sister says that's alright. Saro is very sentimental, but Soundarya tells him to leave her freely and that she'll marry when she feels like that and leaves. Saro's dad advises Saro to stop annoying his sister and let her get a job [i.e. standing on her own two feet 👏👏👏]. Saro understands but then makes fun of his dad, by asking him repeatedly when Saro & Meenu's marriage is going to happen.

Saro's dad is struggling with his phone, which has no charge. Soundarya points out that his charger is at fault and not his phone and offers to charge it on her own charger. Soundarya charges the phone but then the phone rings...caller is Tamil 😳. Her dad is taking a bath, so she speaks instead. She asks him how he is doing but he repeats the question back to her. She says she's doing fine. Tamil asks if she has any problems from her ex-husband. She says no, especially after the beating they received. Tamil says he's normally not like this, he just gets angry when people do bad thing to his people [referring to his family]. Soundarya says thanks.

Tamil says that she is really great because instead of being broken by the rejection, she refused her ex-husband outright and that if he did this in Tamil's village, that guy would be dead 😲 (Saro, paathu paa). They get ready to hang up but, Tamil asks whether she understood his English. She said she understood and Tamil replies that he understood what she wrote as well. She asks him what he studied and he replies B.A.Economics but in a Tamil medium. Soundarya is surprised but says that there is no correlation between English and smarts (aww!!!) 👏 when Tamil says that English was his weakest subject 😳. And Soundarya asks Tamil to call her cell and tell her if anything new pops up in her case, seeing as her family members may try to hide it from her. Tamil agrees and they both hang up 😳😳😳.

Saro and Shaw go to the moneylender's house. Inside, all the people look like rowdys-in-training (sutham ). Saro is skeptical already, based on looks alone. The money lender appears with a dark bgm playing. Shaw introduces Saro to the lender and starts to reveal Saro's tale, before the lender starts to list the amount of serials he watches (shameless self promotion). The lender then asks about surety and Saro really doesn't have much but Shaw convinces the lender. When handing the money over to Saro, the lender warns that he is giving the money to Saro on the basis of trust and that if he does not get his money & interest back, Saro doesn't want to know what will happen to him. When the lender leaves, Saro shares his doubt with Shaw before leaving the place (7 1/2 starting for Saro? 😭).
