Just finished watching the weeks episodes...
As much as I loved the cactus metaphor, it's Dimpy-Megha's surreptitious hi 5 & Mohan's subsequent loaded half grin, that I'm going to carry around with me for the longest time. Uff what a knowing look that was! I'm still trying to unravel all the various emotions that could possibly have run through Monu's head, that split second.
If only these writers held script writing workshops, I could recommend them to a whole bunch from a certain production house...sheesh...

@Lady McBeth, although the cactus talk was aimed at Mohan, I too, like you thought it could very well be the other way around & this one is going to take a heck of a long time to flower. Wonder what they'll show in terms of TLC, coming from Mohan😆

Thanks Nur, as always, love your no nonsense posts.

That... I gotta watch 🤣 Man, I can only imagine what Mohan's conscious attempts at TLC could be like, if his first time attempt at consoling Nanhi the kid was anything to go by 😆 Somehow the Penny-Sheldon scene from the hospital plays before my eyes - *blatantly awkward Sheldon says to W*F faced Penny* "there there... Sheldon's here..." 🤣

I know Mohan isn't all the way obnoxiously above and beyond "TLC" as dear Dr. Cooper, but still... in my head the parallels are evident 😆

ps: Jheel, you gotta see this pretty please *Guru face to effect* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBmZbF1q0Co

Oh I LOVED that too...again, the nuances that MAKE this show...loved how it was shown...and lol why do you still CARE about a certain production house, Jheel? *shakes head hopelessly*

The cactus symbolism was just awesome. I'm loving all the interpretations that are coming out of that one. I also liked the way Mohan says, "Cactus ko aadat hoti hai bina paani ke rehne ki". I liked the use of the word "aadat". Ok that song "aadat se majboor" is getting stuck in my head now. But...Mohan is totally a victim of habit I feel. Totally nonchalant and masttt. lol He can pretty much become accustomed to any situation too. Just like the cactus. As we saw with the lift scenes too. And the scene where he is pulling out all kinds of stuff from his pockets. He doesn't like to bother with much...even if he doesn't get his water...he's fine the way he is. Comfortable in his skin no matter what...but at the same time he's also very cynical and "thorny"...so that's where Megha comes in to bring a little patience, and blooming, and growth and colours into his life. Because that flowering does represent this growth too. And Mohan doesn't really seem to want to grow up. lol He seems fine the way he is. :P

And also very interesting is the use of the plant cactus itself. A plant that can be a loner in a sense. It can adapt to any situation and handle things on its own...and hence doesn't really need much support. At least so it seems on the outside. And for that reason the cactus has a defense mechanism of growing thorns to keep people away. And so interesting how Megha understands (on a metaphorical subconscious level of course) that the thorns are after all only a defense mechanism. And the cactus (Mohan) does, just like other plants (humans) needs that nurturing and watering just the same. Just HOW sweet is this idea really! The idea that Megha would want to be patient and slowly nurture and nourish Mohan's life!? It's the sweetest thing, really. The fact that she of all people understands this about Mohan...albeit subconsciously only...but still...I can't get over how heartwarming this idea is. :)

And Mohan too in his subtle protector mode. 😆 Totally awesome! Another interesting idea was the fact that he got Megha surrounded by a whole team. Including Karan and Dimpy. To me, this kind of indicates that these people will be trustworthy. I hope so, because I do kind of enjoy the dynamics between these guys.

Awww loved your take on the cactus symbolism too, Pallo!👏 Nice to see you drop in on your usual DID days😛😆...otherwise kahaan time hain Madam ki busy life mein :P

I also liked the way Mohan surrounded Megha with Karan and Dimpy...I'm liking the dynamics b/w these characters too and I do feel they will support MM in the long run...even as Prateek ki creepstergiri gets worse.
