Tip Offs/Spoilers/Promos - My Take..

there is a difference between tips and spoilers

Tip offs:

tips are bits of information, which an individual, proclaims to have got from the source.. tips can often be broadly categorized as rumors

any day rumors are rumors...and not facts
most of the time tips do not have any specified time limit...that is just a tip off
we should just wait till the facts come out or until the event/episode is aired

- even i can say - "Rashi will redeem, kalakaries will be out, Kinjal-Dhawal will fall in love" but here i do not give the expected time - it could be coming true close to the end of SNS...
- does that mean my tip off is correct... No this is just my wish or prediction...

when there is a tip off...we think about future, we have expectations, when expectations are not met...human tendency to feel cheated and we get disappointed
why do we need to know before hand ... when we are going to watch the show at the end of the day..

,, then if something does not turn out as said... people will be unnecessarily annoyed with the person who with a good intention wanted to tip off
there is lot more fun in guessing and speculating ..
there is some happiness and fun in speculating and predicting it and sharing it here...
so let us guess and discuss ... that is the best thing on the forum - speculating

spoilers/promos:

Spoiler is any element of any summary or description of any piece of fiction that reveals any plot element which will give away the outcome of a dramatic episode within the work of fiction, or the conclusion of the entire work. It can also be used to refer to any piece of information regarding any part of a given media. Because enjoyment of fiction sometimes depends upon the dramatic tension and suspense which arises within it, the external revelation of such plot elements can "spoil" the enjoyment that some consumers of the narrative would otherwise have experienced.

pros and cons of spoilers
A spoiler or promo can be used to increase the excitement of a viewer to stick to the show... any spoiler or pomo's main objective is to attract viewers and make them wait in anticipation...people who do not have interest in the current track will be hooked on waiting in expectation of some better track by seeing a spoiler / promo

on the other hand.. a spoiler may spoil (as given in the definition) the suspense or enjoyment of people who would like to take it as it comes with full anticipation and expectation...
due to a promo .. we might not enjoy the current track to the fullest... because our mind is thinking about the future promo...
when we think about future, we have expectations, when expectations are not met...human tendency to feel cheated and we get disappointed

example.. we have 2 promos... gopi telling off rashi and new girl

we were excited and speculating about the sequences of gopi telling off rashi
new girl promo... because of it.. we are leaving behind the most relevant thing, that gopi is becoming strong we are not cherishing it.. this took a back seat..

have we all not waited for gopi to speak up since the show started, each day we expected her to speak up..to stand up for herself... , when the moment is right before us..instead of holding the moment with both hands .. we let go off it...because we have something new to munch on...

SBS/SBB:

the SBS/SBB guys whatever they say in the background can be kept aside for some time. they are really clueless about the story...
any new girl introduction in any serial is said to be sautan of the main lead.😆.. that does not mean she is a sautan...they are not aware of the future plot or her character

during rashi kidnap sequence '. the way they announced that gopi will be the savior , and Ahem is a bigi billi ...but it was he who did the whole fighting .

conclusion:

promos are a marketing strategy to increase the excitement of the future track... they are shot differently...as gohem pallu removing scene.. it gives the view of future ...how you take it is in our hands...
new girl..they just showed there will be a girl coming in ' it is at our discretion to speculate if she is good/bad...any tip should not influence our thinking...we should use our creativity in seeing what could the girl add to the show

why should we eat when the food is only half done(promo)..lets wait for the cooking to be done and served (episode at 7:00pm IST)
lets take each episode as it comes... analysis.. each character... each blooper.. speculate things around it... and take good and bad things together

p.s: this is a long rant..i know...but felt the need to put it down😆

Very well said Munni👏⭐️
There is always the element of suspense that keeps us hooked to a drama or a fiction. We may know the end but it is the journey to the end that is the surprise package and it gives us the required interest and anticipation.
In SNS, we know that whatever happens Aham and Gopi are the ones destined to be together. It is the journey of how they do that which has kept us hooked.

Now to Spoilers and Promos.. As you said, this gives us the right /wrong amount of anticipation based on the time it is released. For example, the weekend before the Holi sequence the promo released gave us so much anticipation. There were predictions flying around as to what and how it would happen. Some of us had our wishes coming true and some did not.. So if you see, a promo is a double edged sword. It gives the required or more than required anticipation and based on the turn out of the actual episode we feel deflated or ecstatic. 😃 A spoiler does the same.

As for tips/tipoffs, as they are not based on actual facts, they lead to all sort of heartburn if you believe them immediately before the facts can be confirmed and the confirmation comes only during the episodes which means it is unnecessary early heartburn😭..

A fiction, is well enjoyed if you enjoy the current moment. What is the use of knowing the murderer of a murder mystery in the beginning. It takes the suspense and enjoyment out of the book.. thew enjoyment is in the guessing game.. You predict and see if the prediction works out. If it does, then we are happy. If it does not then we are more surprised and happy. So lets enjoy this moment. Let us enjoy Gopi and Aham's small steps, Rashi's KK, Urmi's stupidity and dream of justice some day.. It is the today and th eanticipation of the future that should give us pleasure. If the promo/spolier/tip is giving you such a heartburn that you cannot enjoy today then what is the use?
Sorry long rant.. But just my PoV

Well said Munni.

But having said that. I enjoy the drama of the guessing game. And it's fun trying to figure out what the promo means or what will happen and what won't happen.

Otherwise we would just discuss what happened in the epi that just aired and not even speculate on anything else.

Or to put it more bluntly. I am a drama king ala Koki. Did you see her in that rabbit scene? That's how we are like on here.

🤣

Then you have me 200%. I will speculate even when I am sure of something lol. I like playing out the different scenarios and other ways of a scene panning out. That's why I love the OS and FF's etc so much!

Well said munni, i love predicting and discussing our views on the current and the predicted track ... This post was indeed needed in sns forum as it can create friendly environment in our forum, if we understand the fact... Ya lets predict and discuss till the actual track is aired at 7:0 pm rather than arguing over the truth of the spoiler or tip off from cvs if it won't come true. Lets enjoy the suspense of the new girl till it is aired...

well written munni...when i was reading abt sbs and sbb abt ahem being bhigi billi...i called him names 😭 poor guy he did all the bashing and gohem were at the receiving end...almost at the brink of losing each other...but sometimes i feel sbs or sbb relieves us of the tension which really gets under our skin coz most of us get emotionally attached to the show or characters..when gopi was almost dying the sbs or sbb i dont remember showed us the future snippet of gopi in MM..which really eased up my tension of losing gopi...they help. a lot...and sometimes the sbs n sbb segments show us the real character of the reel characters...like i used to hate rashi, koki,(during the early epi of sns),ahem and urmila but they r not the same they are very chirpy bubbly and sweet. We also get to know the inside scoop of the real characters of the reel characters..which i enjoy...the recent towel drop incident if not shown on sbb or sbs that ahem was wearing boxers i wud have really thot wayward of the scene 😃 dirty mind at play cant help...but i seriously feel these help at times but i agree completely with u abt the half baked promos they either build huge hopes or dampen spirits to a greater extent..either ways not good we miss the now, the moment to be cherished ..and tips i am also against it coz they dont tend to be completely or not true at all also...unnecessarily building or breaking hopes...if they r +ve we get happy but if not true we get so -ve and miss the now moment i totally agree with u for others...sorry for the long rant me too..😆

harini what a reply ,,,, mind blowing 👏⭐️

superb views...@bold 👏⭐️

yes we are missing out on today by thinking about future...
every time there is spoiler/tip there is a heartburn and people come up with "this show is waste... the CVs are sick... It is waste of time watching the show" these comments ... when the actual scene pans out ... there will be a surprise on the faces...we smile

and what about the words we said ... that the show is waste...the CVs are sick... those words are forgotten for time being when another promo comes they can reuse the same line😕
