Girls,I actually made a weekend post😉Enjoy!

Reasons To Love Punar Vivah:

1.The Production House:

Sashi-Sumit Mittal's production house has been offering varieties of new shows to capture the minds of the young audience and they've succeeded in doing so!Their first show Diya aur Bati hum, airing on Star Plus traces the journey of an illiterate husband who stands by his wife when she wants to become an IPS officer.

Their second show called Mein Laxmi Tere Angan ki airing on Life OK tells us the story of middle class Laxmi who wishes to marry the city's richest man for the sake of leading a comfortable life. When the two people meet, they fall in love-but,are they happy together?

Their third show Punar Vivah dealing with the sensitive topic of Remarriage has certainly drawn attention from me.

2.The Crew:

The whole crew of Punar Vivah including the director to the lightman are very strong perfectionists. The way they changed the story writer within the second week since many had started to complain about the pace of the story has shown that The Production House believes in perfection.

3.The Actors:

By casting Gurmeet Choudhary and Kratika Sengar ,as Yash and Aarthi is the main reason for the show's success I'd say.Every actor startin from Ansh to Chetan Pandit ji ,Yash's father, are excelling in their respective roles.

4.The Symbolism:

The way Arpita is being shown in red tells that she is very much alive in Yash's heart and mind. This tells us that theirs (AarYa's)is going to be a very hard love story that hasn't been seen on Television till now. Moreover, each episode speaks about the difficulties a widow/a divorcee faces in the orthodox Indian Society.

5.The Timings:

Though many have been complaining about the time slot,I think the show is all set to inspire youth and family. So what better slot is available than 10.30 PM when the whole family dines together? Moreover seeing this show and the unity that prevails in the big joint family of the Scindias have really made many nuclear families return to their parents.

6.The Channel:

Lastly, the success of every show depends upon the channel on which it's aired.Since the PH has chosen Zee TV that has been championing the cause of women rights for a few years now,I'm extremely glad that the show will be a grand success.

Cheers to Punar Vivah and its entire team!

Girls, please do let me know if I've left out any reason.

Thank you for reading,

Love,

Sally.

Amazing post Sally! What makes this so refreshing and a treat to read is that your reasons don't revolve around the lead actors, but rather all the other factors that make this show such a treat to watch!

I have read entirely way too many posts today that just talked about how they're only watching the show for a certain actor or another, and that aggravates me more than anything. I can't for the life of me understand how you really understand and enjoy the show if you're just watching one aspect of it. To appreciate this show, we need to invest ourselves in everything this show is made up of, because it all comes together to give us the final package that we get to see on screen! This story deals with such a sensitive and unique topic that it needs a group effort to make it successful, and PV has all the makings of being a super hit for a long term!

@Production House: One of the main things that attracted me to this show in the very beginning (just after the casting) was the production house. I have only seen DABH from the Mittal's and despite everything, I enjoy the show. This PH is known for their out-of-the-box ideas, and that is truly refreshing to see. Not only that, but they lack the usual commodities of Indian scenes making their shows unique. And they're obviously very wealthy, and they have no qualms of using the money in the right places! The sets and costumes are so lavish and that gives the show a very classy look!

@Crew: There is no doubt that we have got a very, very dedicated crew working behind the scenes. The attention to detail in every scene, the symbolism they create with every outfit, and the lack of bloopers show just how much time and effort they put in to give us the very best!

@Actors: Once again I can go on and on about the perfect casting of this show! And now just the leads, who seem to be tailor made for their roles, but the rest of the characters as well, whether it be Yash's orthodox parents, the super cute kids, the bitter bua or even Ram Dulare, everyone fits perfectly in their role and gives their character a 110%. Even bringing Additi for the bachelor party was wonderfully done, she was beautiful, classy and elegant and I thoroughly enjoyed her performances!

@Symbolisms: This goes on to show just how genius these writers actually are, and highlights the fact that they hold their audience to a very high regard intellectually. These symbolisms that can be find in abundance in every episode aren't there by chance, they are thoughtfully executed into the plot, and they expect the viewers to pick up on them and think about it. I mean you see our Analysis unit fill up 15-20 pages easily after every episode, that is not a usual occurrence for most shows, but PV gives us enough material both outright and in between the lines that force us to look and analyze every scene, every emotion, every dialogue critically and draw our conclusions from it. There have been many times where a scene has left us confused, but upon re watching and reading all the amazing analyses everything falls in place and makes sense.

@Timing: I honestly don't know why there are so many people who were against the late night timing. It personally doesn't affect me since I live in the States and watch it online, but I know that there are many perks to having a late night time slot. One, there are barely any restrictions to the content you can show at this time (BALH is a prime example of that), there is very little censorship and the writers have the leeway to broach many controversial topics and deal with them in a mature manner. Also, once the romance picks up, we will be thanking god for this time slot, because they'll be able to utilize GC+KS chemistry in a much efficient manner then if the show was aired at 9 or something. Not saying that they have to go overboard of anything, but there can be a lot more physical interaction while still maintaining to be classy in this time slot, something that I am super excited about.

@Channel: This is actually my first show on Zee TV, I actually took a break of about 7 years from Indiant TV after I moved to the States, and have just recently gotten back in the loop thanks to college, but from what I hear Zee really has turned this around as far as its shows are concerned. I have seen a lot of different concepts being broached on the network, some examples being AB and HD, so it's definitely nice to be on a network that wants a sense of uniqueness in their shows!

And this has gotten entirely way too long, but I couldn't help myself...this show does things to me *sigh* 😳
