Can Rani ever make a comeback at the top?

Rani was the queen bee in the mid-2000s. She seemed set with YRF in her kitty. But then the best made plans can fail and thats what happenned with Rani. Rani and YRF tumbled from their throne together. Since then YRF has moved on to younger actresses like Anushka and Parineeti despite Rani's boyfriend helming YRF while Rani had no films in her kitty. All her so called friends also moved on to younger and fresher faces. But Rani had one thing that no one could take away-her talent. And she struck back with NOKJ. The film did well despite all odds. Rani overshadowed everyone in the film.

Then months later her co-star Vidya signed TDP and went on to win accolades for her performances Rani disappeared once again. She signed films like Aiyya and Talaash is now awaiting their release. Rani could have made a splash in the awards season but she chose to stay away. She pissed off influential people and fans by her attitude when she skipped Filmfare Awards as she felt she deserved a nomination for the best actress for NOKJ.

So my question is will Rani ever be able to make a comeback at the top? She is in the same age group as Vidya and Kareena(and perhaps Katrina and PC too if they revealed their actual age). She isnt lacking in talent. But is her 'I am still the queen' attitude hurting her? Or are people simply bored of her? But then Kareena/Ash have enjoyed long careers so why not Rani?

It is possible. She needs Talaash and Aaiya to be hits and get acclaim and follow it up with an item number and big movie in 2013 :)

She is younger than Aishwarya, Vidya, Chitrangadha, Malaika, Mallika, Kajol etc anyway

why not ? she is capable of essaying any kind of role as she is accomplished actress .. thing What not supporting her since ages is to be her luck . it's not Rani only who facing this problem , it happening With Preity Zinta also . i reminisce it's been almost 4 years since she had done any movie ..

don't think so...her career is probably over like her contemparies...she can be a part of successful films for sure...but hardly she would be able to make a BUZZ for herself...even after the hit NOKJ, she was completely offline for the whole year...and personally i think we have seen the best of her and she doesn't have enuff to offer.

Depends on Aditya Chopra's preference. If he prefers to be bottom, that definitely make her come at the top. :-P

let me remind you all ,she still has a tendency to do much better on screen and several times she even done in past .. to my mind if she gets approached to those movies which provide her good scripts , i bet she would create charm yet again and manifests herself as a best actress .. i accept that Vidya has given two movies hit continuously , it does not mean that other actress can not do that..

I used to say no after her spate of flops in 2007-2008. But now that I think about it...sure, why not? The way Vidya is going, I'm sure even Rani can do it if she picks varied roles and moves away from the YRF camp. She is a decent actress and she deserves to stay.

Okay I don't think she carries the "I am the Queen" tag. We fans have put that tag on her more so because of the definition of her name.

Rani had her days as the #1 actress. While I don't think those days will come back as we have moved on to the newer lot, I do think she has a chance to come back into the industry and earn a high respected spot among her contemporaries. She is a talented actress and when you put her up against these newer actresses she excels much much much more in terms of acting.

Her fans till this day continue to support her & wish for her success. Her fan following has not died down!

We have high hopes on Talaash & Aiyya and if these two films do extremely well then Rani is back in it for good!

For me Rani will always remain the #1 actress the industry has had post the 90s. And I have no doubts she can make her way back up to the tops again!

dont care to be honest. Never really liked her much in her hay days either. Id rather See Preity return, then hear Rani's scheeching voice. She did have some good movies, but most were big banners, Johars, yash raj. I think movies I enjoyed were those with abhi (they had great chemistry), same with Vivek in Saathiya (both men which aish was with and whom rani linked too as well)😆😆 and both whom career went haywire once with aish.
