I was thinking the same thing while watching Friday's episode of DABH! But the thing is while Preeti is poisoning Sandhya's mind about Suraj after their marriage, Maansi will fulfill her quota of creating misunderstandings before AarYa's marriage!
In DABH, Sandhya still hasn't accepted Suraj, not full anyways, and her education and dreams are a major barrier in their relationship, something that Preeti highlights at every opportunity she gets. If you just look at their pairing as an outsider, Suraj-Sandhya don't seem compatible for each other at all, they have different values, come from different backgrounds, and then the whole education twist throws a real wrench in their relationship. Suraj is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful husband, but he still doesn't understand Sandhya and her way of thinking, and it's not his fault, he just wasn't raised to think that way. So Preeti uses their differences as a ploy to convince Sandhya to leave him, and Sandhya is still so confused and double minded on this that she really doesn't know where she stands or which side she wants to choose, so it's still easy for Preeti to manipulate her and add to her inner conflict.
But here the only thing that Maansi has been doing is creating misunderstandings about Yash's character in Aarti's head, and this is extremely short term because this image of Yash is only going to last in Aarti's head till the wedding. Once they're married, and Yash manages to clear the misunderstanding and then prove it through his actions as time goes on, Maansi's words won't hold any leverage because they are 100% accurate, and Aarti will be a witness to that. After that, no matter what Maansi says about Yash it won't matter to Aarti because she will know what he is really life, and all the problems this miscommunication has caused between them will disappear. In fact, Yash's image and respect will only grow in Aarti's eyes, and we might actually see her defending Yash, something Sandhya has yet to do, despite everything Suraj has done for her. Also, Yash & Aarti are much more compatible in every sense, so there isn't any major difference that they both have to overcome. Here they're going to have to get past the emotional barriers in each other, and this is what makes their relationship different. They're both on an equal footing with each other at the start of their marriage but that's on the outside, their internal conflicts are the ones keeping them miles apart until the ice starts to break between them!
The similarities are obviously there since the PH is the same, but I think more than this, the one thing that is going to happen in PV that will be similar to DABH is the reveal track. The revelation of Aarti being a divorcee rather than a widow will cause some high voltage drama just like Sandhya's education reveal did. Which is why I am still finding it hard to believe that the truth will come out before the wedding, but maybe the Mittals are trying to stun everyone by pulling a stunt they know no one expected! Either way, I am sure we'll know by the end of this week what ends up happening!
