This is just something I would want to see happen. I don't know if it will or if the CV's go a completely route. But this is my wish and I hope to entertain you at the same time 😃
Gopi had had it. Enough is enough. She loved her Ahemji, but now there was no way she was going to act like a love sick puppy. Until Ahemji comes to her and tells her. He is going to have to remarry her if anything is going to happen from now on. Gopi was sitting at her dresser thinking these thoughts when her MIL came in looking for her. Koki had called out to Gopi several times, but Gopi was lost in another world. Koki moved closer to Gopi and before she could touch her shoulder to bring her back, Gopi herself came back from her dreamworld. Koki said Gopi vau what is wrong? Why are you acting so distant from everyone? Gopi looked at her MIL wondering how much should I share? And then Koki said Gopi vau, you know I am here for you and I will make sure you are never sad. Please share your pain with me. At her words Gopi had started to shed tears and it broke Koki's heart. She had seen her DIL go thru hell and back and thought that all was well. But apparently something was amiss. Gopi started to cry and in her frustration she blurted out everything to her MIL. And before she could gain control of her emotions she had said it all. Kokila stood there for a minute taking it all in. This answered where her vau was when the Raas Leela were here. But her own son doing something like this and then pretending to not know anything? She knew something was not right, but her DIL needed some assurance and so she gave it. Koki told Gopi to stop crying and that they would together figure out what is going on.
Ahem came home earlier than usual and walked in the house as the doors were open. he heard Gopi talking to Khanaji, and was eager to know what she was thinking. Last night and this morning she had been acting strange and her sparkle had gone from her eyes. He didn't know why. But he missed it and he wanted to bring her smile back...not just to her lips, but her eyes as well. He went quietly to the other side of mandir and listened to her pleas...and it broke his heart. Is he hearing right? Does she really think no one loves her? How could she think that? I love her and I have done so many things to show her? Then why is she saying what she is saying? Ahem wanted to confront her but her stupid sister came and started to ask Gopi some stupid question about some recipe. She could care less Gopi had been crying. And Gopi being Gopi, wiped her tears and gave her sister the recipe she wanted. Ahem went to his room quietly and wondered what was going on. Koki so Ahem listening to Gopi and hoped he would start to use his brain and put two and two together. She still didn't understand why her son was so forgetful all of a sudden. She decided to go and talk to him. And when she came in the room, Ahem was sitting on the sofa staring off into space just like she found Gopi earlier today. She had to smile at their similarities. She knew if anyone was made for each other, it was these two. Her ignorant and hardworking son and her duty bound and sweet DIL. She got his attention and started to talk to him about Holi.
Ahem was shocked that all this stuff about Urmila and Dhaval's odd behavior had happened on Holi and he did not remember a thing. Then as if a light bulb went off he and Kokila both looked at each other and thought the same thing, but Koki voiced it. She said Ahem did you eat anything that was not prepared at home. Ahem thought for a second and said Mom, I just ate the ladoo that Gopi gave me. Koki said Gopi vau gave you ladoo? Ahem said yes, and then thought for a moment and then said She said it was prasad that was given to her by her Mami. Kokila knew exactly what happened. And she was mad. First the whole bringing the bhang filled ladoo into her house and then Rashi's audacity of trying to say to her Gopi vau about "my family" and "your family". Things started to fit into place. Urmila's weird behavior, She had eaten the ladoo at her insistence itself. And now she knew why at first Urmila was so resistant to the idea of eating it. And then Kokila assumed Dhaval must have had a few as well. Kokila then told Ahem I know you heard what Gopi was saying to Khanaji, Ahem. But do you know why? Ahem said Mom, I don't know what I did to hurt her. Kokila said, Ahem you need to talk to her and get her to tell you. It is not for me to interfere...and saying that she left. Kokila went to the kitchen where she knew her DIL would be hard at work for the evening meal. She saw Rashi was also there and had decided to not tell her anything anymore. She wanted Mota Bhabhi to realize herself. So she called Gopi and said Gopi vau I need your help in my room, could you come. And so Gopi left Rashi in the kitchen. It made Rashi happy. Now she could do what she wanted and didn't have to answer to anyone.
In Kokila's room, Gopi said what help do you need Maji. Kokila said Gopi I just said that. I need to talk to you. Gopi had her forehead wrinkled and said about what? Kokila then told her about Ahem's headache and why he could not remember. And then Kokila said Gopi vau, Ahem says he just ate the ladoo you gave him and nothing else. Gopi looked at her MIL and then it clicked. Maji, the ladoo had bhang in it. Yes Gopi vau, I think so too. But who would do such a thing. Kokila knew the answer, but she wanted her DIL to come to the same conclusion. Then only she would be a believer of her family's antics. She would not believe until she came to the same conclusion. Then as if someone had knocked on the door, Gopi said Maji, I think Mami brought them. Kokila said I know Gopi vau and I am sorry to not tell you. But you never believe me and I wanted you to realize this yourself. But Gopi vau, forget that for now, you have to understand Ahem does not remember and he needs to know. Gopi vau, he needs to know...Kokila repeated when she saw her DIL was about to object. Gopi didn't want to face Ahemji. But she could not say no to her MIL either. And so Gopi promised she would talk to him tonite. Kokila wanted her to go and do it now, but she also knew Gopi vau needed some time to sort some stuff out and put her feelings and words together and so she let it be.
Dinner was quite. With Kokila and Mota Bhabhi not talking and Jigar was too busy ogling his wife. Rashi was happy at the sight in front of her, the two older ladies not talking. Ahem was quite because he was still lost in his thoughts about what Gopi was saying to Khanaji and wondered why she was crying and why she felt that way. She had been ignoring him all thru dinner and that was no help. Chirag and Parag were the only ones talking about some silly childhood pranks. Aside from that no other conversation was ongoing. Jigar tried to hold Rashi's hand under the table, but she left making an excuse of bringing some water for everyone. Gopi was going to help but Rashi said I don't need your help. Kokila wanted to blast her for talking like that to her vau, but remained silent and said nothing. Rashi's words shocked Jigar and ahem was beyond pissed. But neither could say anything. If the elders didn't say anything, they had remained quite as well. Ahem decided to talk to Gopi tonite. And he would sort out this mess. And if in the process he had to admit his feelings he would. He wanted to wait till Gopi was comfortable with him, but right now her smile trumped all. And to make her smile he would tell her his heart felt wishes.
After all the dinner was done and the kitchen was clean, Gopi walked to her room with the jug of water as always. She opened the door to find Ahemji sitting on the sofa working. She put the jug down on the night stand and went to get her night saree. She walked into the bathroom and changed and came back out to see Ahem had closed his lap top and was sitting there. Ahem wanted to talk to her as soon as she came in, but she looked too preoccupied and decide to wait till she changed and was comfortable. And when she came out, they both at the same time in unison said I need to talk to you. Ahem and Gopi stared at each other and then Ahem said you go first. Gopi said no you go ahead. Ahem said Gopi, I would like to hear what you have to say first. So Gopi didn't argue and was wondering were to start. She was fidgeting with her fingers and then she sat on the bed and started...
Ahemji, you had bhang yesterday. And I did not know. I wanted to play Holi with you all day and when I saw you wanted to play Holi with me, I was so happy. But then something happened and you told me you wanted to say something to me...And so Gopi replayed the whole hand holding to the removing of the pallu to the applying of Holi to each other and then the chase and the final deed of landing in bed and the kisses. Gopi finished saying, I thought you loved me and so I was all excited till I heard you say you didn't remember anything and that broke my heart. Ahemji, I am sorry that I led you on and I don't have any intentions of tying you down to me. Please Ahemji, I don't know what to do though. It was a beautiful moment for me. And then Gopi put her face in her hands and started to cry. Ahem sat there for a good few minutes taking it all in. He was beyond shocked at her words and his actions on Holi. He was happy that he had kissed her, and had held her. But the fact that he didn't remember was killing him. Their first kiss together and he had to be high on bhang? He was mad, but that would have to wait, he had to tell his wife his feelings. He went to Gopi and said now listen to what I have to say and don't interrupt until I am finished.
Ahem then took Gopi's hand away from her face and wiped her tears and said in the gentlest of voices Gopi, I do not regret what happened. And Gopi looked at him with wide eyes that were filled with confusion. So Ahem continued. Gopi, I may not remember everything, but I can tell you whatever I did, I did it because I wanted to do it. There is no way bhang can make you do something like this unless you wanted it. Gopi, for the past 4 maybe 5 months I have come to know I love you with all my heart. And so then Ahem took Gopi into his arms and said, I am sorry for all the pain I keep causing you, Gopi. But it is true, I do love you and I want to be with you in every sense of the word. Even on Holi all I remember is that I wanted to play Holi with you and I wanted to do it in private. That way I could steel a few precious moments with you. Gopi got up from the bed and walked to the dresser not knowing what was going on. She thought that her Ahemji was just saying these things to make her feel better. So she turned around and said Ahemji, you don't have to say these things to me out of pity. I told you I don't hold you responsible anymore. Ahem now in mock anger went to her and said what do you think of me Gopi. Do you think I just throw the words "I love you" to anyone to make them feel better. He then held Gopi by the waist and pulled her to him and said I love you Gopi, now weather you want me or not is up to you. I told you how I feel. And saying that he left the room to go and take a walk. He needed to clear his head and think and give her time to think of everything. Ahem, you idiot, he thought to himself...you made out with your wife and you cannot even remember...there is not better way to punish you for your misdeeds of your wife...
