Aamir putting himself in different league!

Following the success of 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Fanaa', Aamir Khan is in a different league altogether. Over the last few years Aamir has also transformed. His quest is no longer to prove himself as a good actor but is running after star status now. He is less choosy about films, makes frequent public appearances and has also hiked his fees whereas he was contented to work below a crore for a long time. Reports are that he has been quoting a price of Rs 11 crore for his new film leaving his other contemporaries behind. (Salman Khan charges between Rs 4 - 5 crore and Shah Rukh Khan between Rs 5 -7 crore). The change became more apparent after 'Mangal Pandey' for which he was paid Rs 10 crore.

Shedding his reclusive nature, he came in front of the media appearing for interviews and endorsing brands like Titan watches and Coca Cola. Not only so his support for the Narmada Bachao Andolan made him a candy of the public eye. That proves that he is no more a private person now. He spoke recently to a TV channel about his divorce and is far more accessible now. He is also launching his own website to interact directly with fans.

He has changed his stance to do one film at a time and right now he is doing two films together - a Mani Ratnam film to begin shooting during the end of the year and the remake of Tamil film Ghajini, for which he starts working from June next year. His film releases have also increased gradually. From August 2005-2006, he had three releases with 'Mangal Pandey', 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Fanaa'.

The reason for the change is that Aamir has understood the importance of the media and this has made him savvier now. Maybe a sudden consciousness has donned upon him that he has to connect to the people who have given him his star status!

I am not agreed because Aamir not required star status he is already superstar you can compair with any so called star.

amir khan is a gud actor yaar one of the best khan but yeah he is not in the same league as SRK or Sallu

amir haz gud acting skills, but the other 2 khanz salman and shahrukh 2 me r also really gud better, and r big in demand by directors and fanz, if they r not asking 4 so much than y iz aamir..... plus amir haz just came back after four years, i dont think hiz demand shud rise all ov a sudden just cuz he haz 2 hits this year, i mean shahrukh haz super hits every year but he doz not ask 4 increase in salary.
