Rich folks in Indian soaps...why do the- Page 2

Blame your writers for this 'misconception' I have never been to India , so I don't know better and yes, it is true that for drama a lot of behaviour is exaggerated but when that behaviour is seen on so many soaps, one cannot be blamed for thinking there must be some truth in it
In the Western soaps, there is a lot of promiscuous behaviour, I am sure that many people from other countries, including India judge the people from US, Canada, Uk , etc in that same light
That being said, I also see a lot of wonderful things about India, their faith, humility etc...also seen in soaps, so what do I do? Pick and choose what to believe? Hence the reason I asked. So please do not feel offended

Its common sense to see that all this extreme things are shown in a daily soap to simply move the story and show the female protagonist to be very strong and pure, otherwise the kind of families which are shown in the soaps do not exist...

No lady is so forgiving that they forgive the people who tried to kill them so easily, or people who are completely blind to the happenings which are right in front of them, they are just extremes which are required for the story to be able to pulled forth.

It is also done here in our country. In our local dramas and movies,the writers give English dialogues to wealthy characters and the native dialect to the poor ones.I think viewers and fans do not mind it at all because nobody complains.

The thing that it bother is that they show people are killing like Barka and now Ruby just because she is insulted or want a land or she want her husband. Even though people know that Barka has done outside of law, no one wants to report it to the law. It is also a crime to not report a crime if you know of. It bothers to see those things on TV. No one make law the most important thing.

Very good observations and questions Celina. There is no reason for anyone to be offended. Celina is just seeking clarification and seeking answers as this seems to be the impression that these soaps and indian movies are sending out to the world.

Celina nobody is offended with your questions ...We living in india do not like all this over the top drama ...But soaps are not mirror of the society and we can not generalize...there is always two sides of the coin and India is a vast country with different traditions ...Now even a illiterate person living in India knows that its all fiction ...I understand your point of view , these vindictive females and the opposite all the time crying females are not reality to some extent ...Yes channels just to make quick money go to any extent and never bothers that they are spoiling India,s image ...
