Ahem...
Ahem was a workaholic, his life revolved around his work and his Mom. He never smiled and he never played Holi. For him his Mom's word was the word of God. So when he was asked to marry Gopi, he did it...and in the process he dumped the girl he loved (I am still not convinced he ever really loved her). Now after so many trials and tribulations, Ahem is a changed man. What changed him? Gopi. Without a doubt. Ahem started his married life with no feelings for Gopi, and when he thought she bought an expensive necklace, or when he found out about her not being educated it broke him. To him his life was shattered and it would never be good again. But slowly and patiently Gopi proved to him she is more than just a gold digger or a gawar. He has learnt not to take things at face value. He has learnt his wife is not all he thought she was. She was a better person than him possibly. And slowly during Gopi's education track, he started to see her in a different light. They became friends. And then slowly during Navratri, he fell in love with her. He may not have known it. But his actions showed it. The way he looked at her, the way he made excuses to stay with her, the way he brought her a saree, the way he cared for her when Rashi hit her hand with the dandia. Too many to mention. And when she had her accident, he faced the fact that he may loose her and came to terms with his feelings for her. And he took the initiative to make her comfortable around him. He took his time in making her special. His feelings were slowly surfacing, he could no longer hold it all inside. And finally during their one night separation, he had it. He no longer wanted to be without her and so he put his intentions in high gear and made every attempt to flirt and make her feel special. It is hit an all time high during Holi. And for Ahem to want to play Holi for his wife only was the wax that sealed the fact that he loved her and there were no if's, and's or but's...only a definite fact of love. A love so deep it was pulling him towards her in front of his family...something he would never do.
Gopi...
Here we have a naive girl who was never loved by anyone. I have doubts if her Mama loves her. No Mama would sit back and keep quite while his orphaned niece was being treated so badly by his wife and daughter. Gopi still endured all and managed to smile at the smallest things in life. She appreciated things most of us would take for granted. Her dream was to be married to a man who would be her and only hers. And then she would feel like she was also part of this world. Because up until now she belonged to Mami as her servant. She had no life and no future. Then one day Khanaji blessed her with a visit from Kokila who picked her as her new DIL to be. She was shocked. But then she started weave her dreams with Ahem. Her husband. Hers and hers alone. But those dreams were shattered with the reality of the situation. And when he learned she was uneducated, it got worse. But slowly thru her hard work and quite ways and her sweet smile she won his heart. She could see changes in him and yet she stayed focused, and did not go all gaga like she used to. And it worked. Ahem started to slowly become her friend and then slowly they would have eye locks and then after the accident, Ahem took care of her and even stayed at home from work to be with her. He oversaw her recovery. He made her feel special and Gopi knew he loved her. And her suspicions were confirmed on Holi when with the way he looked at her and the way he wanted to play Holi with her. She knew he was only doing all this for her. And that made her heart swell. And then unaware of his influence of cannabis, they had a romantic moment and possibly did the deed...Jury is still out on that one for me 😕
During the Holi celebrations Ahem lost his inhibitions thanks to the influence of cannabis. That cannabis brought out his hearts desires and made him do what he wanted to do but didn't. It made him hold his wife, it made him go crazy and play Holi with her. I also made them both so giddy in love, that when they fell on the bed, the desires from both sides took over and things happened. It was literally love in the afternoon. Weather they made love or not, one thing is for sure...love was expressed and enjoyed by both.
Now when it has been revealed that Ahem does not remember anything we are all ganging up on him. But, his love is true and it is still there. The cannabis influence made him do things that he forgot when the effects wore off. It did not give him memory loss to forget his love and his desires for his wife. Also cannabis is a kind of herb that slowly after the effects wear off the person influenced will start to get bits and pieces of what happened. And so there in lies the conclusion...Ahem will remember and he will make sure Gopi know it was not cannabis that he showered his love for her...but it was cannabis that made him forget, but not regret...Gopi at first, will be saddened. But then she will also know it was not his fault. And she is not going to shed tears. She will know that he loved her and the only problem is that he does not remember the loving moment they had. But she will give him room and time to come to terms and come back to her. She will not give up. She is not the same old Gopi of yesterday. She is stronger and more confident that Ahemji loves her and nothing is going to make her think otherwise. Not even any ugly words from Rashi or her Mami.
I am done. Please no more sadness about Ahem forgetting. He still loves Gopi and that has not changed. So now can we go and party in the GoEm world thread 😃
