Is there any sense left in this show

I have not been watching DABH for a few weeks now as it had become completely beyond any sense of logic or even good taste.

It seems that it has degenerated even more with social significant issues being woven into the plots in a cynical and most hypocritical way.

It has been 3 months and the 15 days are not yet over.

Contraceptives. So the mother in law has the authority to decide whether or not the women in her family can use contraceptives or not. How on earth can this make any sense.

Then the woman is so dense that she is unable to work out why Meena who has been married for a much longer time has shown no signs of pregnancy.

Yet, Sandhya who has only just arrived is required to produce a baby on demand. The story line does not even make the most basic sense.

Sex. How obscene and vile the episode of the bed was. How utterly evil and stupid would you have to be to show a mother gathering her young children around to demonstrate that her son is not having sex with his wife. HOW UTTERLY CHEAP TV. Is this what India likes to watch!!!

Sandhya. There is absolutely no logic, thread or even sense in what they are turning her into. Three days ago she was shown to pledging to win the heart and mind of that gomless mother in law and now she is seen muttering nonsense about I am not cut out to be the ideal home maker.

Two days ago when her husband nearly cut his hand off to get her to college she was shown to be expressing deep gratitude to him and that he was always in her heart.

Now, in 2 days suddenly she has turned into a frigid ice maiden who has doubts about whether she will ever want to sleep with this man who she respects and who she has lovingly applied ointments to and brought helmets for. One minute she is melting in his arms, next she has these constipated expressions and then she is looks all adoring and then back to sulking.

Either this girl is a really bad actress or the director has completely lost the plot.

I mean what is this character. I am not sure if there is one single young girl in India will want to emulate her.

At this rate she is unlikely to organise a bin collection let alone even passing her IPS exams.

It looks like she is heading towards a mental break down and who could blame her for it.

Why the heck can they not show standing up to the Bhabho and sorting out the issues rather than turning into a complete wuss.

Whats the point, even the comments and posts are now as stale and stupid as the show.

🤣

Your snarky post has me 😆! Gormless mum in law and helmeted hero indeed 😆...

So the show has disappointed you...Oh well...At one point I watched DABH so that my sisters and I could ROFL over the shouted "BEENNNDNIII" tally and we waited on tenterhooks (not) to see if the rubbish would go in the bin or not... And I disagree with your statement that "the comments and posts are now as stale and stupid as the show" : Yours certainly isnt stale or stupid 😃

i can understand her problem with the MIL but why torture Sooraj. What did he ever do to deserve the negativity from Sandy?? sad indeed for him. what gets me in this utter bakwas shows is that Meena will never be caught and even if she gets caught , nothing will ever happen to her. MIL will also forget and forgive... blah blah blah. Little two monsters are no better and they never get the limelight ... mommy's two bechare...

I certainly was not being critical of any one. Sorry. I meant that because of the content of the show we have very little sensible stuff to write about. Come on, u know that ...

If one observes, the crude village based shows gather trps like anything.

The papad scene. Bhabho could have taken Meenaxi only with her as a support and witness.
That was a necessary evil to bring out the truth of the sham marriage. Otherwise Suraj never would have opened his mouth and would have suffered in silence. And Sandhya's duplicity would not have come out in the open. It is a reality check for Sandhya. If you dont want that aspect of marriage though your partner desperately wants it, you can pack your bags and pursue your studies or whatever. Stop treating Suraj like chotu. Is it really a husband and wife matter? For that they have to be husband and wife in the true sense. That thing is applcable to Meenaxi and Vikram.

Maimsey-79 - all the points were very well presented and my views matched with yours on every point that you shared...
Like sm1 mentioned in another post just like every person is different whether educated or not - Sandhya's character is not that typical woman but a woman who has to face a life she never knew existed before she fell into it at a time when she was suffering from trauma of loosing both her parents...
She seems very mature in the way she has handled the situation as she is keeping some peace in Suraj's life by trying to fit into their lifestyle. At the same time it is a conflicting with who she really is and what she is trying hard to be and it is not a comfortable place to be in - that is the reason also I feel that even though she may love Suraj - her other problems are too serious as it is threatening her identity as a person.
how can you expect in this state to feel the kind of love which is expressed in physical sense...
she has shown that love in other ways unknowingly in the caring things that she has done for Suraj and also when she appreciates the things he does for her.
I like this show and there are many faults one can find as it is not easy to present values with entertainment and drama...
