This is not my line, but Gulzar's (God always bless him)...It means one who takes care of the hurt within him/ her...as though one is caring for jewels😳

I am not being politically correct, or even a prejudiced viewer, but to my mind the one thing that stood out by leaps and bound yesterday was ASR...Arnav...Barun...Yes Khushi was a load of fun yesterday and Sanaya was great👏👏👏...but largely been there done that.

He on the other hand was not only about a authoritative husband or a yearning lover or an arrogant person...there was much more yesterday. I wrote this in Shu_cal's😊 post, what ASR brought to the table yesterday were a few things

a) He is not just a loner or hard dark person as played out and oftenly described...

I have always felt that if there is anyone in this serial that is as real and you and me its him.

...His reaction to the Khushi and Nani scene yesterday was for both the women...a woman who gave him the little parental love he got after his mom...and the woman who is almost his life now.

That reaction was of someone who wants to be acknowledged...someone who may say he dislikes love, but wants it as much as you and me...but who is too arrogant, uptight and closed up to ask for it himself.

It was not about Nani forgiving only Khushi...it was about Nani and Khushi some day forgiving him...if ever that day will arise...It was about him somewhere admitting to himself that one day I will let go of the shell I have created around me and seek what I really want.

b) The tears he felt for himself and for his family...soon turned into resolve ...resolve to protect what is or will harm them.

The way the teary eyes changed from tears to resolve and anger for Shyam ...all in a matter of a few seconds within the same sequences or shot...this cannot be just acting...I feel Barun had to feel some if not all of that for it to come that way.👏👏👏

c) that stride to protect the women in his house,...not just Khushi was awesome. Loved how the stride increased the more determined he got and the steel nerve with which he stooped Shyam. If this was in a cinema theater in India, then this is an absolute seeti "whistle" moment😆😆😆

Khushi hid behind him and a few steps back there was Nani

...the family😊

d) The hands that went to apply the Gulaal to Khushi however were not to stake a claim...but to give a reassurance both to her and himself...that deep down here is care there is love...even if the actions and harsh words say otherwise

f) The turning back was again a denial to be accepted...the same closed up behaviour coming back...and the fear that now she will never accept

...Loved the way he turned around when Anjali asked him...there was every possible expression ASR could have felt...fear of rejection, a wanting of acceptance, the recognition that after this moment ends life may again be the closed up wall

g) The way the eyes shift all accross Khushi's face ...searching for a sign ...of love or truth...and then calming down of relief when smeared with Gulaal

h) The sister's presence brings the quick retort back...the same shadows of gloom and doom...nothing is good in her life ...how can I afford it in mine...

g) And finally the remembrance of having been applied Gulaal...a mental check that life is waiting to accept you...so go on...take those same determined strides again.

Barun Sobti...this is no longer about your looks ...this subtle characterisation in 8-10 collective minutes of screen time has yet again been a pleasure ...👏👏👏👏👏

There is a deep undercurrent of sorrow in ASR. His cynicism, his rudeness, his coldness, his anger, his arrogance, all stem from it. His insecurity is stopping him from enjoying life, from seeing the colours, from feeling. His fear of being left all alone, of having loved ones abandon him is too huge & too much a part of him to ignore.

I loved the way in which he subtly moved his cheek a bit closer to her hand so that she can apply the gulaal. And the way in which he touched his own cheek to confirm that the rang lagana scene actually happened!

Barun and Sanaya were fabulous yesterday.

I loved that moment when he had tears in her eyes and his reaction to her tender touch*THUD*

And I admit, I was egging him, WALK Faster will ya, Shyam might just beat you to it...Ya, I know that wouldn't have happened, but he did have me worried for a sec. You know me na I am capable of ruining any perfect moment😆

Loved the epi yesterday and these two, made me go, Hayeee!!!

I lub ur post😃, JW again the very the well the said's, awesome post.

I m not the one who likes to watch too much of emotional athyachar , so the change of holi bringing happiness i loved it.

Kushi earned her family and Arnav's family back to her life with her deeds, with pure heart and love for them, all she has to earn now is her man, his trust.

The episode stood out to me for many reasons,

Kushi being accepted by both the families.. Arnav's expression when Nani turns her back, he was disappointed , he wanted kushi to be accepted by his family and be loved though he fakes hate.

And the sudden change in expressions to happiness when Nani accepts her..

I hv always said, he is man with pure heart,very genuine, that emotion was so pure..

Was he even happy that Kushi will love his family as much as she loves her family?? (He has always been a pillar to his family and i felt he always feel's good when his girl brings joy and happiness to his family)

The way he turns back and almost ready to get back to his laptop, but stops at his jee-ja-ji's comment to apply holi on kushi, the possessive walk towards her, the angst on shyam again going towards kushi .. I loved this scene..

I would hope Kushi remember's the tone in which he spoke to shyam about him applying holi to her first , that was huge!! The tone was something to be noted, had it been before , y would Arnav come and stop his jeejaji from applying color and with that protesting authority ..

Then the applying color on her, his eyes, his eyes were just searching for one and only one thing their, does she love me, how does she feel for my touch, will she step back if i apply rang on her , what does she feel for me, just give me one signal that U feel the same as i do to u, just one sign that u love me.. Barun's eyes does all the acting👏 .. he ponders in her eye looking for answer's..

When Anjali talks bout love he tries to retort back to his shell until Anjali stops him, if he wanted he could have walked away, but no, he wants to give her the right to apply him color, and here kushi looks for answer in his eye's..

The feel of touch, how well portrayed by both Sanaya and Barun👏

The innocent, pure smile that comes out looking at kushi being at her goofy self again, he is falling in love with her all over again, his eyes emote the happiness again, Barun and his eye's, such expressive eye's.. He was given the least amount of dialogues, one with shyam and one to anjali, but yet we understood all that he felt, what an amazing actor he is..

This just reminded me when he asks Anjali, kya aaj maa mujhe dekhe kush hoti..
He is real, very pure at heart .. he wants to come out of his shell, he was coming out of his shell, but the terrace scene left him broken again, he does want to be a part of the happiness..

Ditto!! The pillar of his family, the protector of his family. If any tide is to hit his family then it has to pass by him and no way he will let the tide hit his family..

The eye's that were pondering to look for one signal from kushi is what stood out or me here, he was clearly focused on her actions, looking into her eyes, searching for an answer that he wants to know badly to sort out the mess, he needs one signal from her about what she feels for him, he just wants to know what he saw and heard in terrace was not right, he is wishing that to be wrong..

If he dint wanted to be applied any color then their was no one who could stop him from that, but he wanted to give kushi that opportunity for he wanted to know what she will do, will she step back, will she react the way he wants her to, or will she fake it , he clearly wanted to be accepted by her..

Ditto JW!! Its not about his looks, the way he emotes and brings out the feel of ASR , such little words to talk and yet gives us the clear picture about what ASR is going through👏👏
