she cried more as she moved..hugging him.. making love to him. He turned her around not able to bare to see her in so much pain. He kissed her passionately.. his hands snaking into her hair.. He then gently pushed back in & buried his head in her neck, kissing her neck to a rhythm of his own as he began to shudder from the pleasure. Geet swallowed hard... don't leave me.. she cried as she was in flow in passion with him..
his tears busted out.. his pain.. he cried hiding his face in her neck.
that was the last time they where together. He couldn't explain anything to her..nor to himself. To him it felt right especially considering her future. He could have asked to wait for him. But that didn't seem right. He knew she was young, it may be easy for her to forget all this & move on. Then her life style in US.. it will only make it easier for her to forget him.
For him, he knew he could never forget her.. she was is only love & he could never think of anyone ...actually he could not even think of himself anymore. For him.. he died the day he parted from his soul.
Geet moved back with her cousins & frds. They all didn't mention abt Maan to her nor did she mention his name. They all wanted her to forget him & move on though they all knew it was next to impossible.
Yes she did.. she did move on to be more matured & responsible.. she learned to be independent..
As she moved on.. & she grew older she only fell more in love with him. It was not necessary to talk to him..or see him.. he had been so much part of her life all these years she could just leave her whole life in those memory.. no one could take that away from her... his sacrifice his taking up his fathers responsibility.. only made her proud of him.
she understood every restrictions in the halwali better as she thought abt every moment she remembered being with him. Rani sa's telling her to eat after the male members.. it was more to understand wat they liked or not liked that day. Because being a rajput..they respected even their ladies very dearly. They never picked on the food... if they didn't like anything they would just not eat it .. just taste it & leave. So it was left to ladies to silently watch them & understand their family members taste & advice the cook to make it accordingly.
The other ladies used to wait.. to give company to each other. Like that every tradition.. every ritual just seemed to sink into her better.. glass ko juda nahi karna.. wearing a pallu on the head.. every thing. Don't know when & how she just stopped wearing western cloths.. probably exactly the way she decided to change her career. Now she understood better why papa hukum wanted her to do medicine.. because he could foresee that Maan failed to see then!!!
10yrs had passed & nothing changed between them.. but the love in their heart in each others heart had gone beyond their own limits.
Only Maan knew how he managed to reach back to his place with so many questions in his mind abt his jaan. Why she looked the way she looked. Why she is not happy?? wat happened after he left??
for sure he knew she was alright.. but then why was she dressed the way she did.
For Geet it was not a shock to see Maan the way he looked. For she knew .. the day he walked out of those doors... he was nothing more than a zinda lash.. his every thing always surrounded her. She was his happiness.. his reason to smile.. rejoice. & she hated herself to have been the reason for his sadness now. She wanted to give him all the happiness he deserved in his life..only ..she didn't know how to... !!!

The much awaited day for her was finally!!!. His fathers dream hospital finally completed in Shahgrah. It was the first hospital in the town. The delay was.. purely because they never had a dr who was ready to work there. With all the govt's new rules on rural internship & maans influence he managed to get ball rolling.
Maan couldn't be the way he was after getting back to Shahgrah. He had so many questions. Daadi could clearly see something was bothering him.. & the only thing that could bother him was his heart.. his Geet.. she for the first time saw such emotions playing back in him. She spoke to Dev & tried to find out.. but he himself didn't understand anything then.
The whole village was decorated for the inauguration. For maans surprise there was some dr from US ready to join them. He didn't go much in detail.. he was not in his right state of mind anyway. He left it to his assistant to take care of the whole visa & stay for the dr. He had lost interest in every thing. He had only her dressed in that white cloths .. her sad face ripping his mind.

Geet was really conscious going reaching Shahgrah.. like the first time.. though this time she was more aptly dressed. She wore a plane cotton saree with a pallu in her head, simple slip ons, her cotton bag. As she reached the hospital to meet the villagers who were anxiously waiting for their new dr.. happily rejoiced seeing her.. few even seem to remembered her.. not failing to address her as bahu rani sa in awe.. for them.. maan & geet were married in US.. & not sure why she was not here any more.. may be.. she was still in US... & they assumed lot of things abt them.. but all in positive sense.. after all it was their hukum.. !!!
Maan & Daadi instantly looked at the direction
her every step was perfect.. graceful.. flawless.. her eyes respectfully bowed to the floor, pallu on her head.
Daadi's eyes filled in pride. Maan couldn't believe wat he was seeing. He stood bewildered. It was so obvious to give her the scissors to do the inauguration bit. She gracefully opted out & gave it to Daadi sa.
Karan giggled seeing Maan gapping at the dr like that
he pulled his kurta.. papa hukum yeah kaun hain
geets eyes instantly fell on the little one & became restless. Why was he calling Maan papa hukum.
She so much tried to control her emotions.. but couldn't help those tears burning her eye lids. She pretended to smile & excused herself from there.
Maan instantly knew the confusion that probably clouded her thought. He closed his eyes cursing himself. Still left with so many unanswered questions himself.. how was she here.. when did she change her stream. Why did she?? was she still his!!! the thought itself killed him with guilt.. & a hope he dare not dream for. How could he ask any one anything. He couldn't do anything that would cause any defame to her in any way.
Geet went into the wash room & broke down completely. No ...it can't be.. he can't be his son. no.. but then that was selfish of her she thought.. he never promised he would wait for her. He had made his point clear enough that day.. then.. it was her heart..she couldn't move on.. she didn't want to think of any one other than him. She didn't want to let go his memories. Was it a mistake ..that she came here.. she shouldn't have !! but she couldn't have stayed away from him either.. she was waiting all her life for this hospital project to complete so that she could come here. Her heart was not ready to believe .. no she cried.. cried.. more than she ever did... all this years of her wait.. her effort to be able to live here.. to make him believe she could not live any where else other than being his!!!... seemed never ending now..
