All the Jane Austen fans on this forum will know that when Emma and Mr. Knightley realize they're in love with each other and get engaged, Emma calls him "MY Mr. Knightley"...😊

Wonder what Priya will do...?
I somehow cannot imagine her calling him Ram, though I really want her to (for me that would be a such a lovely moment of intimacy) ...

on the other hand, he's SUCH a Mr. Kapoor...😆

what will she do?!

She has to call him Ram, that will be lovely😊 I am waiting for that moment, Ram should tell her to call him Ram.."remember she once called him Ram when She was talking with Ashwin" but that was not in front of him.

Narangi good to see u back...An avid fan of Jane Austen...So many years have passed but the legacy of literature she left behind still continues to mesmerize so many of us...This Mr.name calling might fit the Victorian era but not this 21st century zaamana...Hate it when this Mr.Kapoor name is called...it was OK in the initial stages but when u have made so much strides in your relationship why bring in so much formality into the relationship...Actually Ram should use this in one of their future fights.😆

@avivakirk...thanks!
I suppose you're right. I haven't been a regular watcher, but based on the updates here, I did catch some of the "cancer scare" episodes. They could have moved to Ram after that...

rite man it sounds so victorian age even iam a avid fan of jane austen doesnt suit the 21st century mr darcy mr kapoor mr walia mr bajaj ekta stop trying to be in victorian age ,high tyn ,she can tease him so many times ,taunt him ,representing a casuality rather than a formaity ,if she is not formal in deed ,cant be formal in name also ,pl priya call him ram ,such a nice name and if not ram shd call her mrs kapoor 😆 then she will understand ha ha! D🤣

English Lit. Geek Alert!😆😆😆
Sorry to be a geek, but I have to correct some of you. Jane Austen was not a Victorian. She was writing in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.
Victorianism comes later (~last 2/3rds of the 19th century) and is a socio-cultural term of reference that does not apply to Austen.

But speaking of 21st century mores...in India do people still go around calling their wives and husbands "Firstname ji..." as they show in serials?
