Confession of Love..Maan and Geet...
Confessions of love by Geet to Maan...
After repeated efforts by Maan to get Geet to confess her love for him, it seemed that Geet was consistently refraining, and would never bring herself around to saying the three little words. It so happened that Maan got his wish fulfilled when Geet started feeling dizzy due to her pregnancy related problems. Maan had to rush her off to hospital despite her protests for a checkup and insisted the doctor to perform an ultrasonogram.
During the ultra sonography and suddenly Maan and Geet both hear the faint heartbeat of the baby and see the tiny image on screen. The sight of the tiny little baby makes Maan realize his responsibilities and love towards the expected new comer to the family. This realization brings tears of joy into Maan's eyes , and a tear drop escapes from the corner of his eye and rolls down his cheek. Seeing Maan's emotional reaction towards a baby which is not even his own fills Geet with an overwhelming emotion and her heart swells with love for her man. Seeing the proud and arrogant Maan Singh Khurana in this vulnerable state her heart melts and she cannot stop herself from saying the words out loud -" I love you Maan". Geet couldn't have found a better time to profess her love to Maan, as the emotional experience of seeing his baby for the first time and Geet's much awaited confession of love left him speechless and awestruck.
All in all, even though the setting and circumstances were not the most romantic of place and time, Geet's confession of love was at a beautiful and poignant moment of their lives ''never to be forgotten.
Confession of Love by Maan to Geet...
After saying the much awaited three little words to Maan, Geet expected Maan to reciprocate by saying the same to her. But much to her chargin, Maan held back, inspite of the little trickes played by Geet to try and corner him into saying the words aloud. Finally after much cajoling and questioning Maan informs Geet that he would only say the words if there was snowfall in Delhi. This statement of Maan puzzles Geet and being the innocent and nave girl that Maan loves so much, actually calls up the weather bureau to ask about the expected snowfall in Delhi. The weatherman answers her about the impossibility of snowfall in another 50 years and dashes all her hopes of ever hearing Maan say the words.
A sad, worried and disappointed Geet sits in the garden and prays hard to Babaji, when she suddenly sees snowflakes falling. Overjoyed at seeing her prayers answered so fast Geet rushes to Maan's room and performs a little victory dance at fulfilling Maan's condition. Maan informs Geet in a husky love filled voice that if losing a bet to Geet would bring so much joy to her, then he would be ready to lose to Geet each time. Geet pulls Maan by the arm and takes him to the garden to show him the snowfall and keeps on blaberring about how Maan would never say the 3 words if it was upto him and how Babaji answered her prayers and defeated Mann's intentions..when suddenly Maan says " I love you". Upon hearing this Geet suddenly halts her mindless chatter and turns around to hear Maan repeat the words once again. All of a sudden Geet realizes that the snow is not real and being blown by a snow machine placed in the garden, and things fall into place. Geet explains to Maan that she realized that, inspite of craving to confess his love to her, Maan held back and refrained from doing so, because he wanted the moment to be a memorable one for his Geet. Maan is amazed at how well Geet knows him and confesses that this was one of the reasons why he loved her so. Geet also repeats the three words to Maan and gives him a shy little kiss on his cheek. This action of hers, leaves Maan speechless yet again.
This confession of love by Maan, the setting and place was a well planned event by Maan in order to make it a memorable moment of joy for his beloved Geet and a great contrast to the spontaneous confession and circumstances under which Geet had professed her love for Maan.
I have yet to come across more beautiful and innovative ways of saying "I love you" to each other by Maan and Geet on Telly ( be it Indian or International), or even in real life for that matter. Maan and Geet are truly a magical couple who filled each other's and our lives with romance and love with their unforgettable dialogues ( thanks to Barry Dhillon's word wizardry) and incredibly sizzling chemistry. They personify the very essence of love and romance, and fulfill every romantic girl's wish for a prince charming carrying her off upon a white horse and a fairytale wedding.
