Part-1
Back in 2010
The place was PVR theaters Prashant Vihar, New Delhi. A girl wearing a white kurti on black tight jeans holding her bag was busy talking on the phone. She was trying hard to make someone believe that she was actually in her class and not any of the theaters. She abruptly cut the phone and quickly moved to the ticket counter. The queue was long one and Khushi did not want to miss the movie at any cost. It was dabang. Her favorite actor salman khan was the hero and she could not miss the first show at any cost. Her stupid boyfriend Neeraj was not at all interested in movies and was adamant that Khushi should also not watch movies without him. She lied to him to fulfill her desire. She praised herself for lying very well to Neeraj and finally making it to the theater.
Next to her stood a man wearing a jeans and green sweatshirt wearing black shades. He bought two tickets of the movie and stood outside the theater to wait for his girlfriend Lavanya. Finally she did arrive to only go all because she was not interested in watching dabang (which was just her excuse because she needed to go for her modeling shoot).
"But Lavanya what's wrong with the movie? We wanted to spend some time together and how does it matter'" and was interrupted by her phone.
"Hello akash I am just on my way'. No... No I won't be late' promise'"
"Oh so the real thing is this'.. You have a photo shoot'. and this is just the excuse" said highly irritated Arnav.
"oh no Arnav its really important and I didn't mean to lie and I am sorry."
"as you wish Lavanya. We'll talk later. You must be getting late for your photo shoot. Bye"
Saying so he turned away from her and entered the hall. He showed his ticket to the checker and he showed him his seat. "sir you have to sit there near that girl in white." Pointing his finger in khushi's directions.
Arnav headed for his seat and saw a handbag kept there. "I assume this is yours and would you mind.."
"no not at all." Khushi took her handbag to her seat and flashed an apologetic smile. It was still 5 minutes for the movie to start. Arnav leaned on his chair closed his eyes to erase the last conversation with Lavanya. Just then he snapped when he heard khushi's phone ring.
Khushi picked it up.
"yes certainly Neeraj I am in class." Whispered Khushi
"what do you mean I am speaking slow and soft? I am in class. And you really don't believe? Talk to my partner raj. I told you about him."
Saying so Khushi quickly kept the hand on speaker and hissed Arnav." Please tell my boyfriend I am in class."
Arnav was startled at Khushi and seeing her cute expressions he smiled inwardly and took her phone.
"oh yeah she is in the class." And to the nest few minutes Arnav kept answering in 'hmmm's and Neeraj cut the phone. Arnav handed Khushi her phone back and she finally let go her breath.
"by the way I am not raj. I am Arnav."
"oh sorry and thank you Arnav. I am Khushi."
"hie nice to meet you and study hard"
Saying so both burst out laughing and thinking about their classroom.
Just then some sort of announcement was made.
"due to some technical errors the movie would start in next 15 minutes. Till then we expect you all to maintain decorum. Sorry for the inconvenience."
"oh ho I was so excited to watch the movie and now it is getting late and late." Complained Khushi to herself.
"don't worry it will start in next 15 minutes."
"till then what am I gonna do?"
"hmmm you can call your boyfriend"
"definitely a bad idea"
"hmmm you can talk to me"
"hmmm that I can"
"hmmm so lets start with the introductions."
"I am Khushi gupta. Currently pursuing an interior designing course from DIFT. And I am in 2nd year. "
Saying so she raised her eyebrows to know about Arnav.
"well I am arnav singh raizada. I run the chain of caf's and restaurants . "
"oh that's awesome. " she smiled and then her phone beeped and this time it was not the phone call but the message from Neeraj.
"oh god why did you let human create these cell phones.? One can get excused from a person but not from the messages."
Arnav smiled at her complained and for once he also thought she was right. Many a times he wants to have a good nap and then message chats from Lavanya would disturb him. Coming out of Lavanya thoughts he backed Khushi for her complain. " you are right. These cell phones are a pain in neck."
"I am to always right arnav"
Arnav was beginning to like this outgoing and jovial girl. She was cute and was interesting. One could not remain gloomy if he has her company. They both got involved in their conversation and did not know the 15 minutes passed quickly.
The movie started and Khushi was like constantly commentating side by side. When the fight scenes would appear she would whistle along with others and when the songs would appear she would hum them. Not for once she let her excitement go. From the beginning to the finish she kept on speaking and not for once allowed Arnav to speak. Arnav who was watching her intently except for the movie was quiet liking what he saw. Khushi gupta the movie was farmore interesting than dabang actually.
Finally the movie ended and Khushi was all praise for salman khan. Arnav and Khushi walked out together of the hall. "did you enjoy the movie Arnav? It was great. And weren't the songs beautiful? They were damn so romantic." She asked but answered herself only.
"I am hungry. Lets eat something." Said excited Khushi.
Arnav saw the pizza hut near by and both entered. Khushi and Arnav both ordered a double cheese pizza. He loved double cheese but had not eaten in quite a days. Whenever he would go out with Lavanya she would never order double cheese. She was so health conscious that it was really difficult for Arnav to eat with her.
Khushi snapped him out of his reverie. "what happened arnav?"
"oh nothing I was just wondering.. that are you sure you would have double cheese pizza? I mean it has lots of calories."
"oh please Arnav cut the crap. I love to eat. In fact I live to eat. What is the fun in living when you cannot eat what you like and desire. I am not like those types of girls"
Oh she was definitely not like those type of girls and he was really liking her. He decided to further grill her.
"which type of girls khushi"
"hmm those who eat one morsel and stand on a weighing machine to check the weight. It is really very frustrating. You come to my college and you'll see many live skeletons."
And Arnav could not control his laughter. They both chatted merrily till the orders arrived and began eating their pizza. While eating a little sauce smeared across khushi's lips and it was then Arnav noticed how perfect her pink lips were. Khushi saw him intently staring at her. She raised her eye brows to ask him. Arnav indicated she had something near her lips. Khushi took the tissue and tried to wipe but it smeared more. Finally Arnav cleaned her lips with his fingers. When his fingers touched her lips she shivered and lost on to her words. Neeraj never had this effect on her''..
