Are the CV's messing with history?????? - Page 2

Dear all,

i am the newest member i especially created the account for devon ke dev mahadev discussions
the show has been great in terms of acting portraying things etc etc and i too watch it daily however as far as the question goes the story has been messed up already although i don't mean it in any negative way

1) Regarding Maha Shiva ratri
no where in the sources it is mentioned that shiva granted boon to chandrama on that day. widely held belief is Shiva manifested in the form of linga to test brahma and vishnu on the midnight of that day that's the reason people perform rudrabhisekha ro shiva linga at midnight on that day.

2) Regarding curse of chandrama
Nobody prayed on behalf of chandra. chandra himself did penance for 1000 years in prabhasa kshetra as any kind of diseases cannot enter that place and pleased with chandra's devotion lord shiva made him shaap mukht

since legend of shiva ratri has been tampered i will not be surprised if other aspects are also
tampered.

However i dont intend to offend any body with this post i merely stating i know please feel free to correct me if anything's wrong

No sweetheart @krishna i have read it sumwhere dat there r n no. Of reasons 4 celebrating mahashivratr 4 eg. Shiv-parvati's marriage, shiv acceptin sati, shiv givin vardan to chandra n many many more bt ur penance point is right chandra himself had did penance bt dis tarkasur track is completly wat i hav never seen read or even heard of BUT AFTR 8 HRS OF THINKING I SUPPOSE I KNOW WAT D CV'S R UPTO..N BY D WAY DEAR WELCOME TO D FORUM.

@Krishna..Mahashivratri as per some ledgends celebrated as Chandrama created that day in honour of shiva...myhtology has various versions...as per one of them during the last few moments of his life Chandra Ma did Tapasya to get a boon from Shiva...you arent wrong,neither is the show,they are just diffrent versions of the same story,the Parvati-Shiva one is far more popular than the others!

It's really Confusing...Even if Tarkasur is going to rule, but not for so many years...as per Shiv Puran tarkasur introduction is given only when PArvati is born & when she comes to womanhood Brahma & vishnu pursue Shivji to marry , but he still refuses & then Parvati does Tapasya. There's still long way to go...Let's hope that just to get some TRPS the DKDMD team doesn't bring total twist in the tale & Sati Just doesn't go into Swayambar like that. [ Taraksura had done tapasya for 700 years to get the boon. In that yuga people used to have very long life span. So it is highly possible Tarakasura was present at the time of Sati & met his end whith Parvati's son.

well whatever it is ...the sad part is till date we have never got one confirmed story of Gods & in their actions in those Yugas.
Mythological = Mysterious ways of god Known only to them & few highly spiritual gurus. Om Namah shiva...
