Most Wanted: Desi Supergirls

Hollywood story: Halle Berry essayed the role of shy Patience Philips who in a magical twist of fate is transformed into a super-powered woman with the agility of a cat.
Interestingly, the super-heroine act won Oscar-winner, Berry the Razzie award for the worst actress (2005). However, if we feign ignorance about the much-coveted award there's no doubt Catwoman was a venture, which had ample scope for action, oomph and spice.
Desi take: Definitely, Bipasha Basu. This Bong hottie has got the frame to carry it off. A right blend of charm, spunk and style — this role seems tailor-made for Bips. PS: Her eyes are an added advantage.

Elektra
Hollywood story: Elektra is a ninja who wields two bladed sais. Love interest of the superhero Daredevil (Ben Affleck), this character was played by Jennifer Garner who later acted in Daredevil's spin-off sequel by the name, Elektra.
Desi take: Shilpa Shetty! If any actress in Bollywood who can match the Hollywood standards of action — it is the Shetty gal. Watch her in Dus and you will know why is she so electrifying.

Hollywood story: The 'Clueless' Alicia Silverstone played the title role in Batman and Robin. The svelte and spunky actress had the killer looks and edge to be Robin's love interest.
Desi Take: Esha Deol. The athletic Dharam putri has it all what it takes to make a superheroine. She has the right mix of energy and attitude. Goes without saying this Deol is dynamite.

Wonder Woman
Hollywood story: Undoubtedly, the most famous super heroine — Wonder Woman is Princess Diana of the Amazon warrior tribe of Greek mythology, who possessed several prodigious skills and gifts from the Greek. The comic character came to life in the popular 1975–79-television adaptation starring former Miss USA, Lynda Carter in the lead. Publicists described Carter as "the wonderment of vulnerability and exquisite loveliness".
Desi take: Even though reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra is a strong contender to play the action damsel, we feel that a sultry Lara Dutta is apt to play this vivacious bombshell. Be it the exploits, the skimpy clothes or the attitude, Lara is just 'wonder'ful.
