The three main characters of KYPH reflect three divergent personalities.
Angad is the archetypcal Devil - Be it his strikingly handsome looks, be it his incredibly attractive personality or be it is winning charm. He is the temptation that leads others to commit sin. He compelled Kripa to fall in love with him by laying his heart in front of her.....and it didn't take much time for Kripa to fall in his heart-trap, did it? He played the same game of love with Mishti, although unknowingly! He teased, flirted and flitted with his childhood friend leading her to believe that Angad is the man for her....now she is in for a major heartbreak. I don't think Angad will wait to stop for a minute and think what his walking out on his relationship with Mishti will do to her.....all he will care for is getting Kripa back! Angad hurt Kripa more than she thought was possible, he has given her tears to last for a lifetime, hurt that will never leave, a wound that will never fill..........he loved her with the same passionate intensity that he now hates her with or thinks that he hates her with! Angad has become the devil who will devour his own happiness!
Kripa is the sacrificing angel - Walked out of her family, friends and her moral values and went into a dangerous relationship with a man who is not exactly known for his stability! Kripa loved Angad and that was it. Period. But it was not as if she did not know that she was treading into an unknown territory.....she had seen Angad's temper, his unresonableness, his ruthless attitude, his revengeful nature......but she chose to overlook all that for his love. She sacrificed the love she had for the love she wanted..........that is Prithvi for Angad! And now that she has been relegated to nothing more than a ''Public Property'' by the same man, she still choses to remain a matyr and hopefull waiting for him to come back to senses............how much more will Kripa sacrifice? She has already given up her mind, body, soul and now her self-respect too......is Angad really worth it? Or does Kripa not know of anything apart from the love she has for him, which blinds her to all his mistakes time and again.
From Boyhood to Sainthood, our Prithvi - He fell in love with the demure girl from Nainital in one go and is still to recover his fractured heart from her hold! Kripa cried so much on his shoulder that it has now become soggy with her tears, but she could not see the tears that he shed in private for the love he could never have. Prithvi chose to fight with his Mother, sister, his friend and the world for Kripa, only to have her tell him that she cannot marry him for charity and despite everything she does not love him. Prithvi is willing to accept the child of a man he despises because it is in the womb of the woman he loves. He is ready to walk out of his family, hurt his sister, bash up his future brother-in-law, argue with his Mother..........all for a woman, who does not love him, will never love him!
