Joint Family vs Nuclear Family-

I have always loved joint families.I grew up in one and i love them.I don't like nuclear families at all.However that is the biggest difference between a joint family and a nuclear family.In a joint family whatever the Bahu does,needs each and every person's approval whereas in a nuclear family it is not the case.I think that is why a lot of my married friends who are used to the nuclear family system get very very frustrated when they get married in to a joint family system.They always complain that there is way too much interference.I can now see why-

It's easy to satisfy and understand, one person in nuclear family... In joint family you have to get approval of all the members and have to satisfy all ..

i have to agree.. not married yet but nonetheless live in a nuclear family and personally i like that i only have my parents to answer to and not a whole extended family.. but i guess it's also a matter of what a person is used to.. i have friends who live in joint families who can't imagine living in nuclear families or 'empty houses' as they call it!
