Sangeet Haldipur debuts on TV-AASMA Gang

Music is his first love but acting happened quite by chance for singer turned actor Sangeet Haldipur. The singer of Aasma is all set to play one of the lead characters in Deepti Bhatnagar's Shaadi Street which is a love story based on

American telenovella Brides Avenue. The show is gearing up for an August launch on Star Plus and will star Ishita Sharma, Hrishikesh Pandey, Gopi Desai, Yashodha Rana and will be directed by Rajan Shahi.

"There are lots of parallel stories in Shaadi Street and my character brings out various twists in the show. The show happened by sheer luck when I got a call from the production house for an audition which was followed by a look test. All I can say that I've got a meaty role, it's an interesting part where I play my age besides I also get to display varied emotions," says Sangeet who is having a gala time working with the cast and crew of Shaadi Street.

The young charmer has recently done playback singing for Madhur Bhandarkar's Corporate and Signal and is preparing for Aasma's third album. He has also sung the title track for Star One's Remix along with his band members.

For the budding actor music runs in the family as his brother Siddharth Haldipur is also a singer with The Band of Boys and composes jingles for Radio Mirchi.
Here's hoping Sangeet does a good job of acting alongside making the country dance to his tunes.
