Of course, the bad comes with the good - we really did not need to see the whole scene of all the crap that Ms. Madhumathi chooses to pour on Khushi Kuma - sorry, Khushi Arnav Raizada. She's Mrs. Raizada now, Madhumathi-ji. Understand that.
Oh Payal, Payal. Such high hopes I had of you. Especially with that beginning where you were so sisterly. But then you also had to go and give the 'adopted' talk. That sucks big time. She's your jethani now also, FYI. And she won't say anything, but your jethji will murder you with his eyes if you even look at Mrs. Raizada with anything less than respect.
Speaking of Payal's jethji, I really thought that Arnav's insecurities are really starting to show now, and it's so obvious that he's madly in love with Khushi - when she talked about how her family disowned her, his expressions were amazing (the same cannot be said for Sanaya's voice though, and I hope she gets well soon!). Even in the beginning when they were showing his flashbacks, the first thing he remembered was his Di and I was so upset, but the next thing they showed was him remembering how Garima slapped Khushi - I was very happy.
I also loved how Khushi walked into his bedroom and shut the door - a total "mujhe haq hai" move from her. đ Today Khushi Arnav Raizada won over her husband. For sure. I loved her today - asking him all the questions that were pending, and he really had no answers for her, so he went back to his old aukat, ameer ladka, paise dialogues so that he did not have to deal with her onslaught. That did not deter her from seeing through the bull-crap and pursuing him for answers that he could not offer and he had to run off.
And who does he run into, but Shyam the Snake-wa Creep-wa himself! I loved the use of "tum" throughout the talk. And to all those who thought Arnav was saying that he needed to keep away from Khushi for Anjali's sake - nope. No way. He was completely saying it because she is HIS PATNI and he's totally going to ensure she remains that. Watch out world, our man is fighting for his woman!!! (Also he looked super-duper hot in that last scene when he was in the car đł)
I also thought the precap was good - in that Arnav, in his mind, already thinks of himself and Khushi as irrevocably joined (patni ka darja nahi doonga, my foot). He could have said "main ghar chhod ke jaoonga", but he said "main aur Khushi ghar chhodke jayenge". They are linked together now, and that's how it should continue to be. (hey Devi Maiyya!)
P.S. Some stray thoughts - poor Aakash and Payal didn't get their much-anticipated suhaag raat. I'm pinning a lot of hopes on Aakash - he's not said one word either in support or against this marriage, and I'm hoping he will atleast support Arnav and Khushi.
