America is already fallen. Personally, I'd rather see USA be a good country with sustainable economy and good standard of living for citizens, rather than a superpower. More like New Zealand, Canada, Scandinavian nations. You don't have to be a super-economy for good standard of living.

As for Chaina. Chaina is an exploitative nation. Moreover, their economy is propped on a false foundation of incorrectly valued currency pegged against the dollar. Someday the Chainese will revolt and Chaina will no longer be what it is. Also the day Chainese currency is properly valued, Chaina no longer has manufacturing incentives.

I think MERCOSUR nations can grow to be significant players this century. Maybe that's what the Mayans predicted. The world as we know it will end. The Incas, Aztecs, Toltecs and Mayans will rule the future.

PS: I like Chaina, but it is nowhere as cool as saying "US should stop meddling in Labia"

Putting USA and China in the same sentence is the closest China can come to USA in terms of... well, anything. If China (or any other country for that matter) has so much of money invested in the USA, it is because they know well that the US economy is still the strongest and safest in the world. Economy might not be doing good per US standard but that is besides the point. No country in the world can afford to let US fall. Not even stumble.

Nothing has fallen (other than the unemployment rate in the US).

USA is the only country in the world with the best standard of living. Socialist countries like Australia, Canada, England etc. provide "free" healthcare and such because of their failed economic model - spread the wealth. Tax the rich and give the money to poor. In USA, people work their butts off to get to where they are. If they deserve to be higher up the only thing that would stop them is their laziness. No bureaucracy or some government mandated rules and regulations or racism or discrimination of any kind etc..

Due to these business friendly policies, people love to establish businesses in the US vs. say, in any European country where people work for what 10 hours a week and still get a free healthcare?? Good luck sustaining that economical model with exponential population growth. Oh wait... Greece.. never mind.

So, no, China or any other country cannot surpass US's economy because of their own policies.
