weak uneducated poor women...is it a fasion

eg 1- geet was 18 yr old, strong girl to begin with...left her family to give birth to her child and to be independent...but needed a guy's support for everything...took all the crap from him...because of this over rated sentiment love...after marriage she was busy cooking/doing pujas...stopped working in the office...ha ha...and then she was shown to marry her own sis to the man who cheated her...how good of her...this is the true india serial heroin.

eg 2- khushi...again a 18 r old, poor family, no education, chamkili dress, but a lovely girl. strong enough to questions asr and teach him lessons her own way...but she is the heroin of indian serial...so she is in her sacrifising mode now...anything for her jiji and his di...she has married him now...will take all the crap from him/ his and her family...and from shyam...will leave him at the end of 6 months if he demands it...and again take the blame for leaving him. even if she becomes strong and independent later she will forget and forgive him beacuse of the over rated sentiment called love...bullshit.

eg 3- dr nidhi...i was so happy as they showed a well educated, professional and sophisticated girl to whom most of us girls on the forum could relate to...but what the hell is she doing these days...just running behind a senior doc whom she loves...ok I HAVE NOT OBJECTION TO HER LOVE STORY. but what about her career? she is just mbbs and intern now...what about post graduation? her profession...our creatives have no clue what to do with her now...if she was less educated like geet or khushi they had lots of options...but now they are struck.

eg 4- aarthi of punar vivah...a divorcee with a child...lovely girl...but again not a career woman...how does she plan to support herself or her child...by finding herself another husband...as her mil keeps on ranting i will make sure uska ghar phirse basega...what shit...is marriage everything...make her independent financially first...what will u do if her next hubby treats her like the first one?

so far I have liked arohi of kmh 2 ...she had some guts... and the maryaada girls they are good.

in my opinion so far there have been no heroins who us girls could relate to...and am sure there will be none as the creatives are men and they will create some one they think is lovable...a weak woman who is at their mercy.

AND YES I LOVE SUHANA FROM SASURAL GENDHA PHOOL..she is much better then other girls in any other star plus shows

AND WHATS WITH ALMOST ALL OF THE GIRLS IN TV SHOWS WEARING SUITS ? :S seriously ? ok if not too revealing clothes you can atleast wear jeans and a top ? that should be fine ;s

when i Went india last time hardly any young girl wears suits in their day to day life!

About the dress- they have to be realistic- over 75 percent of the girls wear either sarees or salwar kameez- all that short dress portrayal and jeans etc., in the media is only by 1% of the population of women even less. But i do agree that girls are shown spineless, stupid, immature and childish- they are shown without the ability to act, to think critically and make wise decisions.

If you see some of the mythogological shows you will see how women in India were strong, capable and had the ability to take decisions and think critically not paranoid about patriarchy. the serials could show romance, show romantic relationships, show partnership between man and woman without the imbecilic submissiveness. Take Anjali- how stupid can women be depicted- she cannot see her Shyamless eyeing other women, cannot sense him being indifferent to her. Wow!

i am sure in upcoming epis she will be wearing saree/mangal sutra/ sindoor etc etc...and will be performing numerous pujas/ fast etc etc...will never think re what she is going to do when these 6 months end...never worry re finding a job/ doing a course that would fetch her a job...

god...fixed and restricted are they...if there are some independent woman heroins they will be all kadak and sadu like hitler didi...if there is a girl who speaks in english and dresses in modren attire and works...she will be villan like saasha/lavanya.
