Ever since its launch, Ram Charan Tej's "Racha" has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Right from rumors of recycling a song from the shelved project "Merupu" to reports of the crew not being allowed to shoot at the Periyar Tiger Reserve, and more recently, for the title track being leaked, the film has been dogged by controversies constantly.
Talking about the leak, director Sampath Nandi says, "We have still not been able to trace the culprit. We have lodged a complaint with the Cyber Police." When quizzed about rumors that a 'scrapped' song from "Merupu" which reportedly cost 2 crore was recycled in this film, he replies, "It's completely false news and I don't know how it spread. We haven't taken a single frame from "Merupu"."
Despite the many hiccups, Sampath says that the film will hit the marquee in March. Giving a sneak peek into the film, Sampath reveals, "An action episode shot in China is the highlight of this actionentertainer and Charan will be grooving to "Vaana Vaana Velluvaye", one of Chiranjeevi's yesteryears chartbusters.
The audio release of this 30 crore film is slated to be held in Kurnool this month end. But why Kurnool, we wonder? "Well, Charan's earlier film "Magadheera" had the highest run here," he explains.
