It depends on the role really...she seems much more comfortable with her sexuality now than she was in Kismat Konnection or Heyy Babyy days but if she's not convincing enough for those roles now, then she shouldn't go for them

you mean being a flowerpot next to the khans and kumars and kapoors and dance around trees? those are not for everybody. ask kate winslet to be a flowerpot and dance around tress...it's a different kind of skill.

I think all her movies are commercial...which movie she did was not commercial? Maybe ishqiya was a bit on the off beat side...

True there. 😃 Despite of being such an excellent actress, she sucked balls in The Holiday. Guess rom-com is not her thing.

I thought her movies were commercial. Only one seemed not commercial was Ishiqua lol. Anyhow, I think she looked good with Nawab in parineeta and should work with him again. .Plus her pairing with the 3 Khans other than Aamir would look odd. Also, her and shahid did not look good together plain and simple. So to say shes not a commercial actress is wrong. Its just shes never worked with the 3 big Khans is why she gets labled this way. Also, she looks way older than her age. Anyhow, with that said she should stick to movies that suit her best. Also the dirty picture was not just her movie, but N. Shah and Emraan were key players too, what got her most noticed was her oomph in it. Personally, she did better movies in the past like parineeta.

It's high time we stop dividing movies into commercial vs. art.
If we are going by promotion, gross and intended audience, then The Dirty Pictures, Paa, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Parineeta all fall under the label of what we call commercial flicks.

If you meant to ask if she can do a candy-floss role like running around the tree or a glamorous role like that in Hey Baby, then from what I've seen of her, no.

I think thats what the TM meant, the roles like Hey baby etc... Otherwise Vidya's movie are all very mainstream...
