After a week of having a substantial amount of air with Ahem and Gopi today brought only a few minutes of them today ... but a meaningful couple of minutes it was as this was the morning after the amazing day before.
Ahem was a satisfied man knowing that his wife is with him and nothing else mattered. She was at home and this was were she ought to be until he returns from work. This gave him a sense of purpose, a sense of that there is something to look forward to after a hard day at the office of wheeling, dealing and meetings. She was his serendipity. She was his oasis in the desert. This is how he felt when he heard her voice call out his name as he was about to walk away to work after breakfast.
When he turned around and focused at her face and her words she uttered, the rest of the world seized to exist around him. He was totally absorbed in her that he could not even see his mum approaching behind Gopi.
His mesmerised state allowed him to linger longer, possibly waiting for her to say 'Jai shree Krishna' or a goodbye. He continued by offering her details of his return time telling her this is how long he will be away from her. He was glad to receive the silent goodbye that implied a look of from her of till we meet again.
Their moment together was enough to sustain him for the rest of the day. He knows now having missed her immensely then spent some special moments with her before bringing her home that this is where her place is ... with him.
This comes as a sense of closure of his realisation of what she means to him and a beginning of a new phase in Ahem's journey to love. On this note we celebrate this with drinks.
