Barun Sobti has blown our minds away with his brilliant acting in such a crucial scene of the story. And though it breaks my heart every time to see the scene, I can't help replay it. A lot of great posts have been made speaking on the meaning of the scenes, so this one is just to discuss something that I noticed. When he gets out of the car he is fuming with anger. His anger and his desire to expose that snake, yet helpless because of his Sisters love is so evident. BUT as soon as he has flashbacks of THEIR (ArHi) moments, he has a very sad smile (when he's leaning on the car, after screaming outloud). There's no more anger (for awhile, at least), it's sheer pain and agony. Because whether it's Shyam or someone else, to him he has once again lost someone he loved. I really liked how they focused ArHi scenes right after his Mom's flashback. It really gave away his love for Kushi, and how he thinks he has lost her. The anger came much later when Asr tapped into him again, but before that it was just a man, who had loved after so many hardships and before he could get to her, she was ruled not his. Every time I remember how much he had started to feel for her, my heart breaks into a million pieces. It's the hardest feeling to live with, loving someone and knowing you can never have them. It was so evident what those moments meant to him. All of a sudden there was no anger, it was love and hurt. Not even betrayal, just the feeling of being lonely once again.
