why did ganga and saahil adopted nakul from Damini and Gautam?

i Just started watching Kyunki, so i don't know about all that?

If somebody can tell me that will be great.

Ganga n Damini wer pregnant at z same time... But Ganga had a miscarriage while saving Damini from z stairs... n it was on zat d zat damini n gautam discovered zat zey will hav twins... in order to repay ganga's favour, damini decid to give on of her children to ganga but gautam opposed but he finally agree...

SO sahil n ganga adopt gautam n damini elder son Nakul..
