It is the morning of Valentines day and Ahem is getting ready for work. When he comes down his Kaki asks if he is going to pick up Gopi, Ahem says yes as it is VD. Hetal smiles and Koki is not too thrilled that her son has all this unnecessary holidays in his head. Ahem sees his mom's reaction and for some reason he didn't care. He left MM and thought of calling Gopi. He knew Gopi would never say she was going to do something and then not do it. So he knew that either his mom or Gopi's useless Mami planned this stay over. He was going to put a stop to it. While Ahem was driving he started to think of all the things Gopi used to do for him and he used to get mad at her for touching anything that belonged to him. And now all he wants is for her to come back home to him and take care of him. Then Ahem thought...NO! That is not the only reason. He misses her. And he hates not begin around her all the time. He likes it when she is constantly around him talking to him or asking silly questions or even just smiling that sweet smile of hers. Ahem snapped out of his thoughts and realized he was thinking about Gopi like never before. He arrived at RNG and went upstairs. The door was open and when he was about to make his presence known he heard Kinjal telling Gopi how she had not made her breakfast properly and that she needed to do it again. And then Kinjal said Gopi don't assume that you are missed by anyone especially my bhai. He has better things to do than to think of a gawar like you. Ahem had lost his temper and was about to yell when he heard Gopi's mami call her. When Gopi went to the room he heard Urmi tell Gopi you are the most useless person in the world. Didn't I ask you to massage my legs. They are hurting and you are worried about resting? Kinjal then yelled Gopi where is my breakfast? Ahem had had enough and entered and told Kinjal go and get her own food as his wife is not her personal slave. Kinjal saw her brother and was scared but held her ground. Kinjal said she is here to work and she is doing nothing but creating a bigger mess for everyone. Ahem was about to slap her but felt Gopi's hands stop him. He looked at his wife who looked like she had aged 10 years. Kinjal said why are you defending her anyways Bhai? We both know you are only married to her because of Ma. And if you had a choice you would leave her and marry someone that is in your standards and know about status. Ahem looked at Gopi and caressed her cheeks and then turned to Kinjal and said Kinjal, yes there was a time when I felt that way. But you see you are educated and yet you don't even have the manners to talk properly to your elders. Case and point of how you talked to me and mom that day and today how you are talking to your elder Bhabhi. It goes to show education may give you a degree but not sanskar. And Gopi is overflowing with it. Then Ahem took Gopi's hand and led her to Urmi's bedroom and said go and say bye we are leaving. And so Gopi nodded her head and went to say bye to her Mami. Urmi got really angry and said how dare you tell me you are leaving when I have told your saasuma that you would be staying here for the next few days. Ahem entered and said her husband wants her back home. And if you are that interested in wanting help why don't you ask your DIL or call your own daughter here? Gopi is not here to be of personal service to you. He then takes Gopi's hand and walks out of RPN and leads Gopi to the car. He takes her home to MM.
At MM the family had already been notified by Urmi of Ahem's actions and now Koki was on a war path. She was going to make sure Ahem didn't do this kind of mistake again. Going to RPN during work hours. What was he thinking? About 10 minutes later GoEm entered and Ahem said his pleasantries to everyone and led Gopi upstairs. When Koki tried to protest Ahem asked Koki to look at Gopi's face and see if she sees how tired and worn out Gopi is. Koki and Hetal look at Gopi and realize she is about to fall out of weakness. Just as they thought it Gopi collapsed and Ahem caught her. He carried her and asked his Kaki to please call a doctor. Hetal ran to the phone and Koki went upstairs to confront Ahem. When she entered she saw Ahem had put Gopi on the bed and he was holding her hand and saying please be ok Gopi. I cannot carry on with my life without you. Gopi please open your eyes and let me see you are ok. Koki was watching all this and she entered and said Ahem what is all this bakhwas? Why did he go to RPN when it was already decided that Gopi was to stay there for a few days. Ahem looked at his mom and said Mom, what is wrong with you? I thought you thought of Gopi as your daughter. Mom before you tried to bring us closer and I objected you all the way. And now that I am in love with my wife you want me to go back to hating her and ignoring her? Koki said that is not what I mean. Ahem she is just a distraction to you. Even last night you could not find anything without her help. She has made you completely dependent on her. That is not a good thing. She should know her limit. Ahem said Mom if you want to talk about limits then let me tell you. You are going out of your limits. Gopi should be the one to decide if she wanted to stay there. And if she wanted she would have asked me not you! And another thing you are talking about me being dependent on her...when Mom you have made sure I was always dependent on you for everything. So why these double standards. Just then Hetal arrived and said the doctor is on the way. Ahem then told his mom and Kaki how Gopi was treated by his own sister and Urmi. Koki was shocked. She knew that Gopi had lived a deprived life and thought that after marriage, Urmi would at least keep some shame and treat Gopi better...but it was not to be. Koki in a thinking mode decided to have a talk with Urmi a little later. Koki went to the phone in the hall and called Jigar and said Jigar, Ahem is not coming to work today as Gopi has fallen ill and the doctor will be here soon. Jigar worried for his Bhabhi said to keep him updated and to let Bhai know not to worry about work.
The doctor came and looked at Gopi and said she is suffering from exhaustion. She needs rest and make sure to give her plenty of juice when she wakes up. Ahem and Hetal agreed and Hetal walked the doctor out. Koki came in the room and said what did the doctor say? Ahem then told her everything and said Mom I am not in the mood to continue arguing with you. Koki went to Ahem who was sitting on the bed next to Gopi holding her hand and said Ahem I called Jigar and said you were not going to the office today. Ahem said another punishment for wanting Gopi with me? Koki said no Ahem, I realize you really love your wife and I am happy. I am also happy that she makes your life complete. Ahem looked at his mom and said thank you. Koki shook her head and thought I will deal with that Urmi woman later, right now I need to call Kinjal here and teach her a few things about humanity...
In the mid afternoon Gopi finally woke up and saw Ahem was sitting next to her holding her hand. She got his attention and said you didn't go to work today? Ahem said Gopi how do you feel? Gopi thought Ahemji was being punished because of her again and so she was about to get up and go talk to Koki when Koki entered and told Gopi she was not to get up. Ahem said Mom stay with her I need to make a few phone calls. Koki came and took the same seat where Ahem was sitting. Gopi looked at her MIL and said please don't punish Ahemji on my account. Koki said that she told him to stay at home to take care of you and nothing else. Then Koki said your husband would not have listened to her anyways, as he was too worried about you. Gopi blushed and Koki said I am happy that Ahem cares so much for you. And Gopi I knew your Mami was not a good character but I thought she would be better now but I see she is not and so from now on you are not to spend any more nights there. Gopi nodded her head in agreement and Koki left with orders to Gopi to finish the juice per doctors orders. Gopi agreed and started to drink when Ahem came in the room. He went to her and sat back on his spot and took the juice and put it on the table and grabbed Gopi and hugged her. Gopi was taken by surprise. She said what is wrong Ahemji. Ahem released her enough to look at her and said I missed you like crazy. Gopi please promise you will never leave me again. Gopi said I promise and then blushed for being so close to Ahemji. Ahem said Gopi today is VD and that is why I came to get you. And its a good thing I did. Gopi said happy VD to you Ahemji and Ahem said same to you. Then Ahem hugged Gopi again and said lets build our marriage stronger starting today. He said Gopi last year on Holi when you were under the influence you said you couldn't live without me...is that still true? Gopi blushing nodded yes. Ahem felt his heart swell and said Gopi I have fallen head over heals in love with you. Gopi's head snapped up at hearing those words she had been longing for and saw how sincere Ahem was. She hugged him real tight and said I love you too Ahemji. Koki watched them from the hallway and smiled thinking my family is now complete.
