Arnav couldn't believe his eyes or his ears. The man his sister loved to death didn't care for her. He didn't care about their relationship. He didn't care about her love. The woman Arnav loved with all his heart was in the same man's arms who was betraying his sister.
Anger boiled within Arnav. Just as he was about to walk away to find his di...
"Let go of me!" Khushi yelled.
Arnav turned back to look at the scenario again. He saw Shyam taking another step towards Khushi. Khushi took a step backward in response.
"Khushi ji! Why don't you understand that I love you?" Shyam tried to gather her in a hug again and Khushi pushed him away with all her might.
Arnav got confused again. At first glance, he'd thought that Khushi felt the same way about Shyam but here she was...pushing him away as much as she could. This only made Arnav even angrier.
"Stop pushing me away Khushi ji. Please try to understand that I love you? Why don't you understand that?" Shyam put his hands on her shoulders.
Khushi pushed his hands off right away. "AND WHY DONT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I DONT LOVE YOU?"
Shyam's blood boiled. Rejection and jealousy running through his veins like acid. He grabbed her arms roughly and pulled her towards him, twisting one of her arms behind her.
"What are you talking about? I've seen you smiling and lost in thoughts all the time! I was sure that you loved me and the only reason why you won't be with me is because I was married. If you're not in love with me, then who are you in love with? I'm here pining for you, suffering because I don't have you and you...you're in love with someone else? Who is it? I've been seeing you getting quite friendly with NK...why only NK...Arnav is there also! The bangles, the bindi...I've had my eyes on you two for quite a while now! It's him isn't it?"
Khushi was shocked to find out that he'd been noticing all this. She was even more disgusted by the fact that Shyam had been sneaking around her, stalking her. And the fact that he had a hint of her feelings for Arnav chilled her to the bone.
She constantly tried to get out of his grip. "I don't need to answer any of your questions. I despise you. You haven't only broken my trust but you've also insulted Anjali ji's feelings for you! You disgust me!"
Using her nails, she managed to get out of her grip and just when she was about to turn around and run, Shyam blocked her way again.
"Don't make this mistake Khushi." His expression dripped evil. Khushi was taken aback to see this side of Shyam. "I'll kill whoever comes in between us...whether its Arnav or NK, I will kill whoever tries to separate us. Just like Rani Sahiba."
The shock in the air was now tangible. Arnav was frozen by shock. He couldn't will his body to move forward to go and kill that ******* standing in front of him. He couldn't utter a word. Anger, shock, hurt, and betrayal had Arnav tied down in the same spot.
Khushi's anger knew no limit now. Just as she had done so before, she gave Shyam a tight slap across his face and before he gained his balance back, Khushi had him by the collar.
"What did you do to her? WHERE'S ANJALI JI?" Khushi screamed at him.
Shyam laughed like a maniac and then pointed towards the sky. "Up there. Thanks to me. You were upset that I got engaged to you while being married...so I took care of the situation...I'm no longer married...I'm a widower. And now...I'll have to take care of Arnav too it seems."
Khushi slapped him again. "DONT YOU DARE! Before you even touch him, you'll have to go through me. Do you understand? And as far as Anjali ji is concerned, Devi Maiyya is looking out for her. I'm sure nothing will happen to her but I know that you won't stop trying. But just remember that no matter what you do...Khushi will always stand between you and Arnav Ji and Anjali Ji."
Arnav's mind was a big blob of confusion and shock. And then, he heard Anjali's voice. She was calling out for him. She seemed to be getting closer. Arnav looked back at Khushi and then over his shoulder where he knew his di would soon show up.
He couldn't let her see Shyam right now. She wouldn't be able to tolerate it. She would break down. She would be heartbroken. He couldn't see her in pain. His love for his sister won over his love for Khushi and he rushed off into the house to stop Anjali before she saw what was going on.
"Di! I'm here." Anjali smiled at him and started taking steps towards him but he walked faster to reach her before she got anywhere close to the entrance to the terrace.
"Chotte? What happened? You look tensed..." she lifted his face to look at him better and her smile faded. "Chotte...were you crying? What's wrong?"
"Di...aap..." he didn't know where to begin or what to say. But she didn't let him speak further.
"Chotte I'm absolutely fine. You're worrying for no reason...stop worrying about me and go see your brother...he's getting very nervous."
He still couldn't speak so he just nodded, took his sister's hand and the two headed towards Akash's room.
On the terrace, Shyam was still fuming and flaring his nostrils when Khushi managed to free her arms from his grip for the millionth time and left from there.
In Akash's room, Arnav wasn't paying attention to Akash's nervous blabber at all. His mind was spinning as he thought about his Di, Khushi, and that ******* Shyam. He'd tried to kill Anjali. Because of him, Arnav had nearly lost his beloved sister. Not only was her hurting and betraying Anjali, he was doing the same to Khushi.
The two women Arnav loved with all his heart were being betrayed and toyed with by the same person. His so called brother-in-law. Arnav's hands clenched into fists automatically, his face red with anger.
"Excuse me Akash." And with that Arnav walked out of the room. He went to the living room of Raizada House to look for his Di.
On the other hand, Shyam walked into the living room of Raizada House expecting to see despair and tears but all he saw was rush and joy. And then his head exploded and he wanted to burst into tears when he heard Anjali's voice. His plan had failed again!
Anger boiled and overflowed onto his face. He gained his cool again and walked towards her.
"Rani Sahiba?"
Anjali turned to look at her husband. He seemed thoroughly shocked.
"Arre...aap humein aise kyun dekh rahe hain?" Anjali inquired.
"Uh nothing...where have you been all day? I've been worried?"
"Oh...I've just been busy with the wedding preparations..." Anjali said. She couldn't figure out the expressions on his face. Couldn't put a word to it. She knew it wasn't relief...then what was it? Worry? Despair? Disappointment?
Just then, someone called Anjali's name and she excused herself. In the next second, Arnav's roaring voice asked for his sister. Shyam turned around in his direction and Arnav's eyes met his.
Arnav's anger doubled. He didn't care that his eyes were shooting daggers at Shyam as he walked down to the stairs and headed towards the leech. With each step closer to Shyam, Arnav's anger increased and his hands started to form into fists.
"Where's Di?" Arnav said flatly, not wanting to create a scene and risk his Di seeing it all.
"Um...she just left to finish some preparations. What's wrong? You look tensed." Shyam said with a honey dripping tone.
"Come with me. I want to talk to you." Arnav's tone and statement worried Shyam a little bit. But he nodded and followed the mighty ASR anyway.
As soon as they were in a different room, Arnav turned around and punched Shyam in the face so quickly that Shyam didn't even see it coming. And just as Khushi had done earlier, Arnav grabbed the snake's collar before he had the time to recover from the shock.
"Saale Sahab! What are you doing?!" Shyam yelled, insulted.
"JUST SHUT UP. SHUT UP! How dare you! How dare you do this to my Di?"
"Do what? What are you talking about? Are you feeling alright?" Shyam said, trying to defend his terrified ***.
"STOP PRETENDING! I HEARD IT ALL. I saw and heard everything that happened between you and Khushi!" Arnav roared.
After a few seconds of looking shocked and scared, Shyam's expression changed. An evil flint entered his eyes (not that it ever leaves...but you get the point). An evil smile accompanied that glint and with the smile, as usual, the Snake's nostrils flared.
Arnav was slightly confused at Shyam's reaction. This wasn't what he'd expected at all.
"Perfect. Now that you know, you'll go tell Anjali ji, and she'll leave me. Then I can have Khushi Ji."
"You're wrong about that..."
"I thought you might say that. I know you have a soft corner for Khushi Ji...but what can I do?...I'm in love with her and she'll be mine. The only way that can happen is if I leave Rani Sahiba..."
"You're about to ruin my sister's life. She'll be heartbroken, she'll be upset and IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! I'LL KILL YOU!"
Shyam scoffed and pulled Arnav's hands off of his collar. "It's not my fault. It's all Khushi ji's fault. If I hadn't met her...I wouldn't have fallen in love with her...I had no control over that...what can I do? She's just too beautiful...I would have been faithful to Rani Sahiba if I hadn't met Khushi ji but I did...and you think if you kill me...Rani Sahiba won't be upset? She won't be broken hearted and upset then? If you're smart...you'll keep this on the down low for your sister's sake...I mean really...if you had to choose between Anjali ji and Khushi ji...who would you pick?"
Arnav's heart shattered into pieces. The snake had caught Arnav's weaknesses. Anjali and Khushi. The snake also knew that Anjali meant everything to him in the world.
Shyam just gave Arnav another evil and smug smile and left. And there stood Arnav Singh Raizada. His mind blank. His body frozen. And his heart...completely broken.
Hey Guys! Sorry for updating this so late but I have an insane midterm week starting tomorrow (beginning with two HARDEST midterms back to back..) Anyways, I hope you all liked this bit today. Today's udpate was solely what I want to see in Monday's episode! I debated a lot whether or not Khushi should admit her feelings in front of Snake and have Arnav over-hear it but then I decided against it. I'll admit to changing this musing like four times since I first wrote it. LOL. I hope you all liked this and are there any others who want to see something similar in tomorrow's episode?
Love,
