Minor girl raped by man who promised her role in B

Bhopal: Taken to Mumbai on the pretext of getting her a role in Bollywood film, a minor Dalit girl alleges she was raped for a month. Police are looking into the complaint filed by the girl from Betul. The tribal-dominated area has been in news for all the bad reasons—the recent being cases of sexual harassment of girls by teachers.

The 16-year-old informed Sarni police that she had run away with one Rakesh withput informing her parents. She informed that he took her around Mumbai and showed her houses of Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

She added that he had also tried to convince her to work in a beer bar till she got a break, but she refused. She alleges that he then held her captivein his home and repeated her day in and out for one month.

The parents of the minor girl discovered from people that they had seen the girl with Rakesh who worked in Mumbai. They then rescued her from his clutches.
