Nandini came running with a bag in her hand "oh here it is...when are you coming back??" nearly out of breath...
Prithvi "well can't say anything now...Mom might come tomorrow...so you won't be alone and I heard Richa's also flying next week"
Nandini "oh yes...no that's alright... but I will miss you" nearly felt sad...
Prithvi cupped her face in his hands... "i will try to come soon..."
Nandini waved her hand while Prithvi went off...she stayed until the car completely went off her sight.
She came inside and sat on the couch, felt lonely...she thought of buying something for Richa's baby... she felt excited...

She woke up late then realized her Mother-in Law will be coming soon...she was happy...she quickly got up and dressed nicely... she expected Prithvi to call her but then she thought the must be busy...some things were constantly running in her mind...as if she was badly missing him...it was only few hours since he had gone away from her but it felt like ages...she looked at their picture...it was huge frame in which she was wearing a red wedding dress...it was too heavy she realized...her prince charming looked the most handsome...she smiled as she thought about him...he gave her all the happiness in life...but somehow she felt a strange feeling around her...a feeling of going away from him...she dialed his no, it was very unlikely of Prithvi not ringing her even once...she tried so many times...the no was switched off...she tried to engage herself in some odd jobs...but there wasn't much to do...she thought of reading a book...
After some time...she opened her eyes...and found herself sleeping on the chair with a huge book lying on her chest...she got up and placed the book on the shelf and started walking towards her room...she finally thought of going out for sometime...she picked up her bag...
it was bright sunlight...the diver asked her about her destination to which she happily replied... "shopping mall..."
It was huge traffic as the weather was good and afternoon's are always so busy...she heard her phone ringing...she happily replied "hello Prithvi...i was waiting for your call"
Prithvi "i was stuck and couldn't call you...is everything alright...??"
Nandini "yes I have just come for shopping..."
Prithvi "ok I will call you later...let me know when mom comes..."
Nandini "Prithvi...i ...i" he disconnected the phone...
"he must be busy" she said to herself...
she had some shopping bags in her hand when...

Renuka was waiting for Nandini to come home...she had already asked the servants twice about her whereabouts...she was walking from one end of the room to another...
she tried calling her no but it wasn't reachable... she dialed Prithvi's no but it was switched off...as the hours past she got more and more worried for her...she knew her daughter in law is the one who can never get so late...she rang her husband
Renuka "i don't know...i am waiting for her since few hours..."
Rajveer "what????? but where can she go???"
Renuka "i don't know...you tell me what should I do???"
Rajveer "don't worry, she must have gone to a friends place or..."
Renuka "i am so much worried for her...i don't know what to do...i tried calling Prithvi but his no is switched off"
Rajveer "he must be busy in the meeting...i will inform him...you please don't worry and don't panic...i am sure Nandini will be back soon...call on the driver's no"
Renuka "as if I didn't try...the driver's no is also switched off...i am seriously worried"
Rajveer "you have to calm down...just check at the shopping mall or some other places where Nandini could go"
Renuka "its eleven Rajveer...you think the shopping malls will be open??"
Rajveer "just wait...i will call you back"
Renuka nervously kept the phone...she knew Nandini doesn't go anywhere without informing...she asked the head servant Kamla who already told her that Nandini left in the afternoon and she informed that Nandini always goes for one or two hours and then comes home...

Kamla asked Renuka who felt asleep on the couch... "maam tea?"
Renuka woke up and looked at he clock...it was seven in the morning...she hurriedly asked Kamla "has Nandini come???"
Kamla nodded "no maam...Nandini hasn't come home"
Renuka literally sank '.she quickly dialed Rajveer's no...
Renuka "Nandini hasn't come yet..."
Rajveer "what????? did you check ???"
Renuka "Rajveer I am telling you...please do something...i am so much scared now..."
Rajveer "don't worry...i will call Suresh Singla...he will help...he is my close friend and police commissioner"

After some time...
Prithvi picked up... "hello Dad...i was sleeping...i am so tired"
Rajveer "Prithvi beta...Nandini is missing...she hasn't come home since yesterday afternoon"
Prithvi shockingly got up from the bed... "what are you saying Dad????"
Rajveer "yes Prithvi...do you know where she is????"
Prithvi "no...but I know she was going for shopping and I spoke to her"
Rajveer "i have called Suresh...lets see if they can track her"
Prithvi "Dad...i am coming back now..."
Rajveer "alright...i think you should go back...Renuka is really worried...and please talk to Suresh...he will help you...i will try to come soon"
Prithvi rushed outside and asked Daya to book the first flight and cancel all appointments...he had a strange feeling of loosing something...he still didn't believe she was missing...he never wanted to go away from her...his brain constantly heard her voice as if she was calling him...he could hear her laughter...he closed his eyes and he could only see her face...he could see her going away from him...

Prithvi reached Delhi...he went straight home where he saw his mother talking to the police commissioner...his heart started beating faster...his mother was crying...he never saw her in pain...as he went near... "Mom" he said with a worried face...
Renuka turned to look "Prithvi" she cried and hugged him...
Prithvi couldn't understand her reason of crying... he was getting impatient now...he had to know what happened...
Suresh "Prithvi beta...we are sorry to say but Nandini met with an accident and '.."
Prithvi "and..."
Suresh was quiet for sometime...while Renuka just cried out continuously...
Prithvi yelled "and what?????"
Suresh "and she's no more...she's dead"
