Who is Shyam Jha? Why is he trying so hard to become a villain? Who is he drawing his inspiration from? Does he love (I know, I know) KKG more or he hates Anjali more? Why did he marry Anjali and trying to kill her now? There are so many questions but all we get is one answer. Shyam's flaring nostrils and evil smirk!
I have borrowed Divya, the Darjee's jaasoos hat, and tried to find the whereabouts of Shyam. What I realized midway was it is a never ending search and I really cannot do it alone.
Here are my inconclusive finding...
Nagin:
Who can forget the scary 'Sapera' Amrish Puri playing his instrument Pungi to trap the shape-shifting snake aka Sridevi! Like all the other villains he couldn't escape Sridevi's fangs and met his untimely death. Whether he hated the snake, or attracted to Sridevi, we will never know.
Is Shyam a reincarnated Amrish Puri whose past deeds have turned him into a snake, not the snake charmer, in this life? What we also need to know is who according to him is Sridevi; Anjali, who he wants to kill, or Khushi, who he thinks he can tame?
Sholey:
Gabbar Singh is THE ultimate villain and needs no introduction! Even moms scared their children with 'So Ja Beta; Varna Gabbar Aajayega' comment. Gabbar got what he wanted in life until Jai-Veeru turned his life upside down.
Is Shyam, a byproduct of one of Gabbar's misdemeanors? Looks like Shyam grew up hearing about the beautiful 'Mein Nachungi' Basanti. No matter how much he likes the story; he cannot marry Basanti, can he? So the best he can do is track down Basanti's daughter. Any guesses who it could be?
(Now please don't even attempt to guess his age, because we already have too much on our plat, and there is no room for a mini calculator too)
Omkara: Langda Tyagi is the man we all love to hate. He was so devious that he didn't leave any stone unturned to bring down his own brothers. But fate had different plans for him. His own wife killed him by slitting his throat.
Had LT left his village on the pretext of some work to Delhi disguised as Shyam Jha, and trapped Anjali into marrying him? Was he brought back to life by Dr. Vaatenskein, brother of Dr. Frankenstein? Is he blaming all his wives for trying to kill him and trying to get to them first?
Andaaz Apna Apna: The dumbest villain, Shyam Gopal Bajaj aka Teja, succeeded in kidnapping his Judwaa Bhai for his wealth, despite having two heroes in one movie..
What a coincidence!! Shyam and Taje share the same first namen. Can we assume these two are related and use the phrase 'Like father, like son'? Why not? Even Shyam is after Anjali's wealth and plotting dumbest plans to kill her.
Haa.. There is one villain in every movie and Shyam can be related to anyone. Please borrow 'my' jaasoos hat and add more, so we can parcel Shyam back to his place..
