I don't know about that. She has countered DS several times too and gone radically against her AFTER DS has taken a firm stand.

So, even if DS had said - u shudn't go against Basant in public - A wud have given Nyaya ki duhaai and done just what she wanted to do anyways.

But then we come back to the same point -- 😆😆😆 - if she does what she wants to do anyway, then why all this rona dhona about the situation? Leave it be -- then let him live with mahavir singh and be satisified that she has done what she wanted to do anyways.

i think antara has given proper explaination abt Basant & Gehana's approach & i agree wid that & thatswhy i've prob wid thsi overrxn!!and its only reason that i found it overrxn!!4 me even if parents got involved in kid's fights like sohan's mom pushing away the nandu unintentionally r petty issues & not worth of making them a big issue!!
so all it cums 2 only on ept. ppl 've difft persepective of petty or big issues. 4 sum ppl basant & gehana's rxn may b normal(like leaving home etc.) but 4 sum oder its overrxn!!

excellent topic tinoo,

i dont think bhairon intentions r wrong but yes in application he has gone it wrong horribly
he is putting too much on anandi ,
anandi wanted to step down , he should not have forced her , now everyone is blaming it on anandi where as i feel it was bhairon was more responsible there
i think after what jagya has done to him , he has pinned all his hopes on anandi, thats why he insisted first on anandi to become a doctor
thats why i believe he is more attached to anandi , what jagya has done to him was a huge setback for him and a very big loss
, now his sole student left is anandi 😆
anandi i beleive in her quest to appease all has displeased all except bhairon
the problem with anandi is she sees bhairon ,sumita , dadisa , gehna all as her mentors
but each one of them has different perspective
anandi thus gets confused as to what do do, here she pleased bhairon but has displeased the other parties

anmol ia gree wid ur post except @bold red!!aur abhi mere paas itn atime nahi hai samajhane ka!!😆

The one good thing in all this which may have been ignored is that Nandu probably got a life lesson! 😆😆😆😆😆😆 Play fair or the other person's mom will come beat you up.
One which the other mollycoddled laadesar of dadisa nor basant did not get. 😛😛😛
Unfortunate as it may be, Rameshwar's wife's method was probablyt he quickest shortcut for him to learn a lesson in personal ethics.

Fine posts inbet'n...got to see them now after an exhaustive Sunday outing,

From the original opening, the analysis seems to have tarried on Bhairav's stern advice, or its impetuous effect on Basant.
@ Woman11,

I agree to your impression about Basant's reaction to an open defiance to his 'feudal' privileges as undercurrent (had felt the same). Add to this, blunt injury to apple of his eye and blunter defiance, and he was bound for explosion. The point here is not its legitimacy or permissibility (of the 'explosion').The question is Bhairav's failure to anticipate the intensity of this explosion, and incurring even further damage thereon- instead of containing damage already authored- with a wiser alternative. This, coming from a consistently well rounded character- well etched for his sagacious nature- was disappointing, proportionally to the extent of damage it invited. And voicing this disappointment, is fetching out the tentative arguments in favour of Basant, (which Bhairav seems to have overlooked). Reiterating once again, neither this is an attempt to justify Basant nor a permanent dislike to Bhairav. Add to this another disappointment, one person who could have naturally nipped entire commotion in her original portrayal, is tweaked so stranger that she is almost unrecognisable (not figuratively- which she incidentally is). Only plausibility in Gehna's make over- her slighted parental role- is so flimsy that we have to make an effort to remember it.

As for the parallels reminded, some important contrasts lay in i) Dadisa's overarching presence, with a relative freedom for a junior to be cautious over family's unity, ii) the intense nature of principle violated (marital rape), as well as no excusatory injury to the violator at that time- unlike present.

All said, I do see this as a misjudgement by Bhairav, but certainly, I can't see that as a manipulation, not subconscious either.

@ Parri814,

I concur again, A favourite character too, is prone to reproach- perhaps more so- with heightened expectations. Though our 'reproaches' are liable to fall flat quickly too- just as Cvs construct great triumphs of 'principles' even out of their erroneous assessments in some near future :-(
