It's official!

The 'Kolaveri' boys, Dhanush and music composer Anirudh have teamed together for an anthem that's an ode to cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Anushka Shetty will also be seen along with these two in the video. This Sachin Tendulkar Anthem Feat is an initiative by Boost, a health drink for which Sachin has been the face for many years now.

Confirming this, Anirudh said, "Yes Dhanush, Anushka and I will go live in a few days for this initiative by Boost. Full on mass track we've made."

"It's an honor to have done the Sachin Anthem. The video will be launched in a few days; we've been working on this for the past one week", expressed a visibly excited Dhanush. The lyrics that go "Darling of the mass... Master blaster, little master..." has been penned by Dhanush and the song features the trio in the video.

Dhanush has a new 'Kolaveri' of sorts ready! This time, he's created it in association with a popular energy drink to celebrate India's cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar. What's more, he's also gotten Anushka to shake a leg with him in this anthem!
"We've treated this song like a mass hero introduction song," he says, "That's what Sachin has meant to me. The usage of very relatable words will make it all the more appealing to the public and Sachin fans." The Kolaveri star has composed, written the lyrics and directed this music video, besides featuring in it.
About Anushka featuring in the song, he says, "I thought that there should be one more star other than me in the video. I asked Anushka if she'd like to be a part of it as she's a good friend of mine and a wonderful human being with a lot of positive vibe. She immediately said yes. I'm thankful to her for making it despite me giving her just a day's notice."
But why Anushka, when he has several other choices? "People won't look at us as a couple on screen. I don't think we make a good pair and that should work in favour of the concept of the video." On the films front, Dhanush is looking forward to the release of 3 and will soon start work on his first Bollywood project. "I rejected a lot of scripts in Bollywood, which came to me post the success of Kolaveri, but I just couldn't say no to Aanand L Rai's Raanjhnaa. I play a character called Kundan in the film that's set in Varanasi."
Considering he's a huge fan of Sachin, has he met the master blaster yet? "Oh no, not yet," he says, "But I hope it happens soon."
