Sujay Reu's track ends in Ram Milaayi Jodi
Angad Hasija to take centrestage as Sara Khan's new hero?
While some things start, others have to end…such, it seems, is the story of actor Sujay Reu who currently plays the male lead Anukalp in Zee TV's Ram Milaayi Jodi. With the departure of Nishant Malkani, it seemed like young Sujay Reu had landed a plum role that could well be his ticket to stardom on the small screen. However, after barely 8 months of playing the lead on the show, it seems like the actor will be seen making a well-scripted exit from the show. According to sources, at a very critical point in the story, Anukalp will meet his end in a road accident, leaving his young bride Mona (played by actor Sara Khan) a widow.
"Yes, this was a 'Ram Milaayi Jodi' but there are times when Ram has other designs for a couple. There are unfortunate instances where one of the two lovers dies early and the other must gradually move on, not lose hope and learn the art of survival. In true alignment with the mantra of the channel Umeed Se Saje Zindagi, the show will now capture Mona's journey of hope as she holds out strong under these trying circumstances. With this change of tracks, Sujay's role does come to an end but we look forward to working with him in the future as he is a fine actor with a positive, healthy attitude towards his craft." said Sukesh Motwani, Head- Fiction Programming, Zee TV. So will the show turn into a solely heroine-centric story focusing on Sara's character Mona or will Angad Hasija who was roped in a few months ago to play Anukalp's brother Aditya take over as the new hero of the show? "That is something you will have to wait to find out," said Motwani.
