DUMP!!

I can tolerate a 100 mami's as long as I have a husband who stands by me.

Mami insulted Payal and her family and all Akash coulld do is stutter??!!

Unacceptable for me.

I think that being "middle class" has no right for someone to dissipate your self respect in front of so many people! Just because I am not on a higher status in society does not mean that I don't respect myself!

So, if I was in Payal's place (there would be major alterations in her character) heck yes I would dump his sorry butt, no matter how sweet he is, its all about self respect! If the guy I love n want to marry does not stand up for my rights/or respect me as a person(as in not standing up for me in front of his mom) then how much does he really love me? sweet talks wont get you through life!

But oh well, this is fictional so everything is out of proportion!

if you ask what I would do, obviously I would dump him. how do you live with someone long term who will stutter and stammer and wriggle out of confrontations while you and your family are mistreated vilely

but your question is what would i do if I was Payal. I am afraid if I was Payal, being who she is, brought up as a normal middle class Indian girl, i would do exactly what she did. accept everything, walk away from her one chance at happiness becuase mom in law is not happy. its almost mandatory to destroy yourself and yours to make everyone else happy. and self respect is the last thing that such people are taught. its always about putting yourself last not in an unselfish way but by killing your self esteem completely.

So the question of dumping Akash because he is doing what is normal in a middle class Indian household where children are not to argue with elders is unthinkable. i think she is acting in character

personally i think its a testimony to her love for Khushi that she actually stands by Khushi in her madcap adventures given her nature...

Okay...even if Akash made a mistake it doesnt mean she should dump him! :D I think he deserves to be forgiven...b/c he didnt mean anything intencially to break her heart :D so I say FORGIVE HIM!!!! :D
