Mitali "come on Ananya get ready...its a biggest party in town..."

Ananya "coming Mom..." while brushing her hair...

Manmohan "you two take lot of time...now where have you kept the pass"

Mitali "we don't need a pass...everyone knows us...lets go now"

Manmohan "you are very good at loosing things"

Ananya "lets go..."

Malhotra house...

Khushwant "can you give me the tie...i am looking for it since last one hour"

Shilpa "sure...wait let me wear my jewelry first"

Khushwant "your things are important than mine..." he said annoyingly

Shilpa irritatingly "fine...let me look..."

She gave the tie to Khushwant...

Khushwant "is Veer ready???"

Shilpa "do you want him to come along??"

Khushwant "of course...he's my Son and he will be looking after my business soon...so he must know about these parties...now tell him to get ready"

Shilpa asked Veer to get ready...

Veer "Mom you know I hate these social parties..."

Shilpa "your Dad will be very angry...now get ready fast..."

Veer got up and unwillingly went to change...

After some time both the families left for the Royal party...this party was only for the people with top hotels and operators. This part was mainly for the hotel excellence awards that recognized the qualities and characteristics that define superior service and achievement in hospitality industry.

Both the cars stopped at the entrance...

Manmohan saw Khushwant and started murmuring...

Mitali "oh these people have also come here..."

Manmohan "you know we have to see their face everytime we come for these parties..."

Mitali "lets go inside before we have to see their face"

Ananya glanced around but she wasn't bothered about what her parents were saying, she didn't pay attention to whom they were talking about...

Khushwant "whenever I see this Manmohan...i feel like killing him...he's such a fraud"

Shilpa "now leave it...we won't sit near them...lets go inside now..."

Veer walked slowly behind...

Party started and people were enjoying their drinks...

After some time...

Ananya saw her mother talking against a lady who looked equally elegant like her mother...as she walked near she heard their conversation...

Shilpa "why don't you stop copying us...i saw your menu...it was our menu before"

Mitali "really...when did that dish come into your menu...i think you copied that..."

Shilpa "we know what kind of people you are...absolutely fraud."

Mitali "if we are fraud then you are super fraud..."

Shilpa "oh God...whose face did I see this morning that I had this woman in front of me"

Mitali "you must have seen your own face"

the conversation soon changed into a fight... Ananya knew they must be their rivals... "oh yes..." she said to herself... "that must be the royal hotel owners"

she saw on the other side her Father was arguing with Khushwant... she seemed least bothered...when suddenly she saw a handsome boy standing near Khushwant...she turned quickly towards them...

"Veer" she said to herself...

she went closer...she walked slowly and stood next to her Father who was holding a drink in one hand and talking loudly...she saw Veer who was shocked to see Ananya standing next to Manmohan...

Ananya looked at her Dad "Dad..." she said

Manmohan looked at her "wait for a minute my child...let me fix this man's head first"

Veer looked at his father and said "Dad."

Khushwant "wait Veer...let me answer this fellows question first"

Veer and Ananya were shocked to see their parents fighting... Veer realised she was their rivals Daughter...both didn't say anything but they gazed each other for long time...

Soon there was silence around and everybody seated to start the function... both the hotel owners got the excellence awards...but they were still jealous of each other...

Ananya thought everything crashing...it was difficult for her to swallow this fact...Veer on the other hand was feeling terrible inside...he knew that their parents can never become friends and this rivalry is going on for a long time now...but how could he loose his Ananya...how could he forget her...he knew by now that there was no future for their friendship...

After some time

It was late night...Ananya couldn't sleep at all...she thought about her family and Veer's family...how could she continue her friendship with Veer when it doesn't have any future...God forbid if her parents come to know about her friendship with Veer...they will show their worst side...she thought of not talking to Veer...but deep inside her heart Veer had already made a place that made Ananya difficult to forget about him...

Veer was lying on his bed looking at the ceiling and remembering his promise to Ananya that he will always be with her and never leave her alone...

the night took its pace and made the two think about each other more and more with every passing moment...

Ronit "Veer listen..."

Veer was walking upstairs to his class...when he heard Ronit and stopped...

Ronit "are you going to Manali???"

Veer "no..."

Ronit "why yaar...lets go...we will have fun...its snowing there"

Veer "i don't feel like going..."

Ronit didn't force Veer, he saw him going in the class...he did notice that Veer looked sad...

in the class...

Meenakshi "i have given your name for the Manali trip"

Ananya "what??? why???"

Meenakshi "what?? you only told me that you are interested and you will be going"

Ananya "but I don't feel like going"

Ronit heard and said "even Veer is not going...it means you both will have fun here"

Ananya blasted on Ronit "what the hell...no way...Meenakshi I am going..." she left the class...

Ananya felt so helpless...she couldn't even talk to Veer...

she missed him...she missed talking to him...she missed his sweet smile...she missed a caring friend...

Next day ….

Meenakshi "wow Ananya you are on time..."

Priya "hey Ananya...good we are going to Manali...i just love snow..."

Meenakshi "yes...and we will play around...i feel so excited"

Ananya didn't say anything... she quietly sat in the bus …...as it started moving out of the town...she felt something missing...she felt as if she is loosing something...she turned once...then closed her eyes and leaned towards the window...

Veer was playing with his basketball when he thought about Ananya...he missed her...he missed her smile...he missed talking to her...there was something strange happening with him...he thought of forgetting her...but still he missed her...without her he felt incomplete...without her he felt lonely...

he went to the swimming pool...he looked around and thought about his Ananya and how he couldn't say anything to her...

Ronit "Veer I know you like her...then what's the matter??"

Veer "you won't understand...its a long story...my family and her family can never become friends...they are big rivals...and I cannot continue my relation with Ananya...even she didn't talk to me after the party..."

Ronit "Veer...i think you don't love her"

Veer "how can you say that"

Ronit "if you would have loved her...then you wouldn't have lost all hopes...it seems you have accepted that nothing can be done and you and Ananya have to stay away from each other..."

Veer "then what should I do??"

Ronit "you should talk to her...i am sure she must be waiting for you"

Veer "she's gone to Manali...i don't when they are coming back"

Ronit "so what...you can go to Manali..."

Veer "me???" he thought something...

Ronit "yes...you can go and talk to her...tell her what you feel for her"

Veer "but what if she gets angry"

Ronit "so what...atleast you will get to know what she thinks of you"

Veer got up excitedly... "you are right"

After some time...

Veer was sitting in the bus...

Veer "Grandpa...i will come tomorrow...i have to study at Ronit's place for the night"

Baldev "alright but make sure you eat something"

Veer "don't worry...bye"

Veer was happy to meet Ananya...he didn't felt sad...nor he was feeling lonely...even the thought of meeting her made him happy and he was all set to propose her...

Bus stopped at the Manali bus stop...he knew the hotel address...

As he walked towards the hotel...he thought once again...something stopped him...he thought about his parents...his mother and father who raised him like a prince...always fulfilled his wishes and now he's going to do something that will hurt them... he didn't move...but then he thought of at least going and saying her final good bye...he will explain her that he cannot fulfill his promise...he had to do this...

as he walked outside the hotel...he looked up...then went inside...at the reception desk... "can you tell me Ananya Chadha's room no please...i am her friend Veer"

Receptionist "can you please wait sir...let me check" she called Ananya in her room

"maam someone wants to meet you...he is saying his name Veer...should I send him to your room?"

Ananya excitdely "oh...yes yes...please"

Receptionist "alright maam"

she turned towards Veer "Sir you may go to room no 105...from the lifts towards your right"

Veer "thanks" he walked towards the lifts...he was nervous for the first time...he came to propose her but now he wants to say his final words to her...he felt bad about the situation...but he still had to talk and clear everything...

he reached outside the room...his hands moved forward to knock the door but then he stopped...he thought of going back...he couldn't say final good bye to her...she was his dream girl...he could never look into her eyes and say that he will never meet with her or talk to her... he turned towards the lifts when the door opened...he turned to look...it was Ananya...

Ananya "Veer...you were going back??"

Veer "no no...i forgot something outside..."

Ananya "it must be snowing outside..."

Veer "when I came it just started..."

Ananya "come inside..."

Veer nodded and followed her inside the room...

He made himself comfortable on the couch...

there was silence between them...Ananya didn't look at him...

Veer broke the silence... "i...i came for some work here...so"

Ananya "so you thought you will meet me"

Veer looked at her "oh yes"

Ananya "you don't have to say anything...if this relationship doesn't work...then it doesn't work"

Veer "its not that..."

Ananya "i understand...even I am not effected that much...its alright we were only friends..." she gave a fake smile...

Veer "i think I should leave now"

Ananya didn't say anything …..

Veer got up and left the room...

Ananya was still thinking about what she said and how she broke up her relationship...something deep inside was urging her to go and tell Veer that she's in love with him...this feeling grew more and more that made her rush out of the room only with a t-shirt...she looked outside but he already left...she went downstairs...rushing at the reception...

Receptionist looked at her in astonishment that she was only wearing t-shirt till her thighs... "maam you shouldn't go out...its snowing heavily...and you aren't wearing..."

Ananya didn't gave her the chance to complete her sentence and rushed outside the hotel...she looked at the road...she couldn't make out as of the snow...she glanced around and saw a young boy with a leather jacket walking towards the taxi stand...

Ananya shouted and ran after him "wait...wait...Veer.."

he stopped and looked behind...to his shock he saw her running towards him...

Veer "Ananya...you came without wearing your jacket...this t-shirt won't help fighting cold...its very cold...you will fall sick...please go back..."

Ananya didn't stop but came more near "i have not come to go back..." she said and smiled...she came more closer to him...

Veer "Ananya you aren't wearing your shoes or slippers...and you will catch..."

Veer couldn't speak more...his lips were shut...she placed her lips on his...her arms were curled around his neck...she lifted herself on her toes...and kissed him longingly...

she pulled back after few minutes...

Veer looked at her "Ananya"

Ananya looked into his eyes "i love you Veer...will you be mine forever"

Veer smiled lovingly "i love you too, I was already yours"

Veer forgot everything and embraced her tightly in his arms not wanting to leave her...she squeezed herself inside him...

people passing by were looking with a great surprise...Veer suddenly opened his eyes and saw people staring at them... he immediately pulled back... "Ananya lets go inside...people are looking at us"

Ananya "let them see we are in love...i want to tell everyone..." she looked into his eyes

both smiled...and hugged each other... Veer gave his jacket to Ananya and picked her up in his arms and walked towards the hotel...
