I read a lot of posts on Payal and her character usually and though I tend to agree to a lot of it (yes I am guilty of joining in the fun too 😉) but I also feel there's a different approach to view her character's depressive state .....
Thus sometimes I feel we are really being unfair to Payal (& Deepali also)...it really isn't her fault that she is given the kind if scenes & dialogues in the story which make her seem so boring...i think in an attempt to show Payal as a Homely girl (this is what LM called her character in one of his interviews), the CV's have got it confused with depressive & boring personality 😕...
they really don't have a set story line for Payal's character ...she is more like a filler in the story albeit a permanent one...
Though I do feel that her romantic scenes with Akash could be better ... but then i think back and except the hug on the day of Akash's supposed suicide they haven't really been given an overly romantic scene to which they could do justice (I might be missing something; do let me know if u remember any such scene) ... in fact I am still surprised at how little footage they were given at their own sangeet ceremony 😲...
This is just the kind of thing which is done with Garima's character too...Buaji is given more screen space & influence in the story line than the actual mother of the girls ...if you guys notice, even in dialogues between Raizada family (Anjali, Nani, etc), they always refer to Buaji's name and never Garima's...I really don't understand why the CV's have worked it out this way...
