I have a feeling Shyam gets forgotten and is left on the shelf. They go O O lets get him down and dust him off the shelf. How can we portray him as part of the ongoing storyline...hmmm...we can't! I know lets get a plastic scorpion as it reminds us of him and give that useless waste of space a storyline after a fashion as he doesn't really fit in anywhere! We'll slot him in here and there where time and space permits ie when it was the sangeet. Everyone else is watching the stage he keeps peering under the tables! He was lucky no one carted him off him as a peeping tom pervert trying to look up the guests' skirts as he was hellbent on looking under the tables!

They just wanted to show some drama in the show. And Shyam had to do something at the sangeet function. Shyam has to make some plan to get right of Anjali. The Scorpion was his 1st plan, which failed. But I have to admit, Shyam, who is a lawyer, does not have a brain. He will/can never get Khushi. Khushi hates him, and Anjali/Nani are trying to get Arhi closer.

I think Shyam is a sociopath.. with a hugely unhealthy obsession with Khushi... he's been stalking her since Lucknow... so can't expect him to think rationally when it concerns Khushi...
