Women should take care of themselves: Sakshi Tanwar

Jaipur. Sakshi was in the city on Saturday to attend the presentation of her short movie 'Banwra Mann' in Jaipur Internationa Film Festival (JIFF). On the twist in her serial Bade… she said that Ekta Kapoor wants to convey a social message to women through her serial. The incident convey the message that women should take care of themselves and should go for regular medical checkups.

'Bade Ache Lagte Hain' fame TV star Sakshi Tanwar said in an interview, 'My disease in serial is not a twist , but is a social message to all the women. Most of the Indian women take care of their family but forget personal health.'

'Chanchal Mann' coming soon

About her short film 'Banvra Mann' she said that the story tells the versatility of housewife's heart. Earlier presented film 'O Re Manva' told the story of unmaried lady's heart, while its third sequel 'Chanchal Mann' is coming soon. This will tell the story of single woman.

Thank you for sharing Celina...

Can't wait to see Banwra Mann...read so much about how she has done an excellent job. I hope it is televised soon...

On the Medical check up front.. she is right. Women in India and around the world need to give equal importance to their own health as they do for their family...

Thanks Celina. She's right. Women always end up neglecting themselves since its the first instinct to take care of others!!
I hope they could really convey the importance of regular annual checkups!! Can't wait to watch Sakshi's movie. Hope it is availble online or television anytime soon..

Yeah she's absolutely right! As a medical student, I've seen so many women with final stages of breast and cervical cancer due to lack of awareness. Mammography and pap smear are really important things that women shouldn't neglect!!

Thanks for sharing...

Saakshi is absolutely right. Women have this nature of putting others... their family first when health is concerned.. they took a secondary approach and end up negectly own health...

Kudos to Ekta on taking this much needed Initiative...

Thanks for sharing!!!
agree with Sakshi...every woman has to take some time out for herself and take care of her health and hygiene...we see many women neglecting their health or hindering to go for medical check ups...hope BALH is successful in conveying the message it wants to put forth..
