Has Rishi Kapoor taken the cake (TOI ARTICLE pg9)

Karan Johar's Agneepath has released to good response among the masses and he must definitely be smiling about that. Positive reviews from critics and a solid opening has indeed has put the icing on the cake. However, the disappointing collections on day two proved a major setback but still the trade pundits believe that the film will cover its path of Success with ease.

The film has a fantastic starcast featuring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor. The film is centered on the Revenge theme and Hrithik takes the challenging role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan played by Amitabh Bacchan in the original. The people have indeed liked the performance of Hrithik and Sanjay Dutt as they have sucked their teeth into roles and gave new meaning to this remake.

However, the actor who is getting the major applause for his work is Surprisingly Rishi Kapoor. We caught the people on First day and first and asked the audience about one actor striked them the most. We expected the answer to be Hrithik obviously, and it came true but Surprisingly, We heard many people about Raving Rishi Kapoor's performance equal to both the actors.

Rishi Kapoor has indeed given the finest performances in his career. Due to his weight issues, he could never attempt roles that were challenging and path breaking in his later career. But Rishi broke these myths by playing the manipulative, cunning and stylish villain as 'Rauf Lala' in Agneepath. After 'Do Dooni Chaar' Rishi has proved yet again that he is here to stay.

Rishi's Rauf Lala in Agneepath is also special because the character never existed in the Original. His character was written to provide a new dimension to film and it indeed happened. Rishi might be happy at this point as he is getting much appreciated as equal or no lesser to the Important Actors especially the heartthrob Hrithik. Now the debate has started about who actually is better in Agneepath - Hrithik, Sanju or Rishi? We leave it to our readers.
