Introduction
Khanak Sharma-A cute bubbly girl.Did her MBA and went to her dad's office . Daughter of Mr. Deepak Sharma and Ragini Sharma. Madly in love with Saaket her child hood friend.And soon getting engaged to him.
Saaket Agrawal- Son of Mr Arnav and Radhika Agrawal. He is doing job in khandelwal industries as a manager.He is very good friends with Shantanu.
Shantanu Khandelwal- Son of Sunil and Madhavi Khandelwal.He is a senior manager looking after the HR dept in their own office.. He never had been close to anyone in family other than his mom. And his only friend was Saaket.
Deepak Sharma- Owns a textile industry.Has two daughters Khanak and payal. Loves his daughters like any other father.
Ragini Sharma- A house wife of one of the rich business tycoons. Like any other mother happily arranging for her elder daughters engagement.
Arnav Agrawal-He Is a government officer. He has only one son. And really happy to see his son doing job in one of the best industries.
Radhika Agrawal-She was a teacher in school.
Sunil Khandelwal-Rich business tycoon and good friends with Arnav Agrawal. Considers Shantanu and Saaket equal.
Madhavi Khandelwal-A wife of Sunil khandelwal but very loving and caring for her son.And very much bothered about his future as he would never open up.
Payal Sharma-Khanak's younger sister.Her carbon copy. Always teasing her in some or the other way.She is in 12th right now.
CHAPTER 1
The morning sun was peeping inside the window with a smile of horizon on its blue face.When birds were happily chirping a song of peace.And the trees playing the background music for the same.The streets were empty of people .This morning was long awaited by Khanak who was getting engaged to Saaket, her child hood friend and now a love of life.
Khanak was very fond of love stories and she had the collection of same in her shelf.She always believed in love and was sure that she will get it In her life.The reason for her to believe in it was the love stories always have a happy ending . So today was it.Her engagement to Saaket.
She got up from her bed and stared for the last time out of the window in this house today.Ofcourse it was as she will be recapping her life as Khanak Sharma. While standing near the window she remembered her life as a child in this house and a tear drop formed in her eye which flew from the corner of her eye. Suddenly she came out the reverie as her mom called out her name Khanak get up beta its too late u have to get ready.which turned more clearer when she entered her room. Khanak when you planning to get up, when Ragini was pulled by Khanak and made to sit on bed with Khanak's head on her lap. Ragini had a broad smile on her face to see her child grown up and finally getting engaged to Saaket a person Khanak loved.
What beta I really have no time to sit I have to make so many arrangements thankgod I have your cousins around to help me, caressing her daughter's head with a soft palm. There was a weird but positive glow on Ragini's face which was quite visible even through her wrinkled skin.
Mom let me sleep na for some time Khanak moaned in her half awaken state.
God you two are so dramatic let me sleep. Mom stop disturbing me and Di you get lost anyways this is your last day here Payal yelled in her sleep.
Bang!!!!! Bumped a pillow on payal which directly was aimed by Khanak. Stop you moron. I still have 2 months here. And looking at Ragini Mom Tell her na even on my engagement day this moron has to bug me.
Ragini getting up from bed and going towards the door with authority in her tone Stop it you two and payu just get up at once there are lots of things to be done and I need your help.
Payal with a pained face and dramatic tone Tell your Khanak only to do it as its her day and falling back on her bed.
Agrawal's house
Oh god get going all of you said Mr Agrawal I have asked the drivers to get the cars in the drive way . Mrs Agrawal as usual in hurry was just busy in giving away the orders to all the servants to load the cars with the required luggage .

All the people in the house were moving. The house was well decorated with the flowers from one of the best Floristries in Mumbai . Sharma's and Agrawal's relatives were invited and some of their close friends were called. The relatives were staying with them. And as its always everyone is included in the arrangement schedule. Both the houses were having chaos about the evening function.

Saaket having a great discussion about what all important stuff to carry along on the phone Dude what you think which perfume should I carry?Ok leave that tell me which wrist watch should be carried??Oh my god Dude I am confused..when you coming? Not letting the other person on the phone answer his previous questions.
Listen Dude Chill!! Came a reply from the other end .Why you getting worked up so much.I am leaving just now from office.Before you yell let me tell I Had a very important work that took me so long.
Ok whatever come directly to my place now don't go home and then give me a crap .I am really not in a state to understand this thing.You gotta help me in choosing my foot wears ,then my perfumes,my wrist watch ,..

Shantanu Khandelwal is best friends with Saaket.Though their qualities are very opposite .Saaket is very talkative and Shantanu is not that open,he believes in keeping things to himself and not involving in any of the issues by bringing his personal problems in between in his professional life. He is working in same company as Saaket but on different posts. Shantanu is very serious kind of person ,very much career oriented. An year elder to Saaket but he never got it in between their friendship.

Ragini telling gopi their very old servant whom they all address as gopi kaka certain work to complete. Kaka please keep these extra flower baskets in the room next to our bedroom so that when need I can ask you to get it.And left for further work.
Listen Ameya and Nachiket you two just go and check if all the sweets and required buffet dinner items are ready and if not just make them a call and ask them to do it as soon as possible Ameya and Nachiket nodded and went for the same work.
It was evening time and just another 2 hrs for the ceremony.Khanak Di went Kavya yelling from outside the room itself.When she entered she saw Khanak standing in front of the mirror wearing a beautiful red colored sari with work on the border looking absolutely amazing in it as if it was meant for her only.The sari veil was draped in a very elegant manner that perfectly fit her and she looked really adorable in it.Just that her hair was to be made yet. Her cell rang Saaket calling it flashed.
I called you after I saw your two missed calls .I am so sorry honey was a bit busy in arrangements. Upon that I have yet to decide what all accessories to accompany with it, and so I am waiting for Shantanu to drop in.Saaket said.Khanak responded What !!!You still not ready I thought you will be here anytime and so I am all set here. And you are waiting for Shantanu, that fool. And her memory went into the reverse mode that reminded her about her first meeting with Shantanu.
Flashback
Khanak Please get this check deposited on the way to Saaket's office.Ragini said.ok mama I will.

Shantanu had never seen any girl in his life who had dared to argue with him.

Saaket with a smile on his face Look honey I know he is a bit rude always but trust me he is very good at heart.You think after so many days being with him and you together I would have let you suffer his company if I would have known that he is that bad.?

This made Khanak blush on the other end .And ended the call with a smile.
Khanak Knew that Saaket considered Shantanu his best friend.And she followed Saaket's wish as she dint want to put her conditions on him.

CHAPTER 2
Agrawal's House
Shantanu enters in Saaket's room Hey there are you finally clear about what you want to carry? With a masked face. Why do u think I am sitting wearing only a smile then?Saaket mocked.
How do I know?I just came Shantanu replied. Saaket could'nt take it any more.Dude that was a sarcastic answer.Now stop playing sarcasm with me and suggest me what do I wear.
Shantanu gave him a 'as if you would listen to me' look. And just helped him choose the hair gel,juti(one wore on kurta),watch and he was ready .Looking really handsome in this attire. Anshu tell me how am I looking . Shantanu responded with a straight face Nice.
Saaket was wearing a white colored kurta with slight golden embroidery around the neck.A mala that is in their tradition.And he was looking like a typical groom. Saaket looked at Shantanu with a farce smile By the way this kurta suits you.Need to talk to mom about your wedding. But I am afraid you will not get a good girl like Khanak.You know you need to talk to girls for knowing them.
Shantanu left the room with a 'What the crap' look on his face following Radhika's voice in the living room.
Sharma's house
In Khanak's room payal ,Kavya and Arti surrounding Khanak near the dressing table. As usual Khanak applied only kohl and lipgloss as she dint like much of dabbing .But Payal forced her to apply many other things giving her the engagement's swear. And finally she was completely ready looking just beautiful in her maroon saree .That fitted her very well. Kavya called out Mausi come fast look and just give us your suggestions if any thing else is needed on Aashu di's face.
As soon as Ragini entered Khanak's room she became sentient on seeing her daughter in brides attire, a beautiful moment for all the mom's having daughter. She looked at her with tear filled eyes Aashu you looking beautiful.saying this she called Deepak Aashu's papa..come here and see this.Our Aashu's looking so beautiful na..(not less than a fairy). Deepak came and embraced his daughter and placed a peck on her forehead. My child looking so pretty. Looking at ragini After all she is my daughter. Ragini replied back you stole my words.But really and started wiping her tears .Khanak came and hugged her mom with other hand oh mamma stop it or else you will spoil my make up this moron helped in doing mocking at Payal. Payal moved ahead pulling kavya and all five of them had a group hug.
Agrawal's house
Shantanu and Saaket along with his parents lead ahead and two cars followed them to the venue.
Sharma's had already reached to the venue when Deepak was instructing the caterers about the dinner arrangement .Khanak was in the room upstairs with her cousins.
All the relatives were coming and Deepak and Ragini were standing at the entrance to welcome the guests. After around half an hour Agrawals came. Sharma's welcomed them in a very traditional manner. Ragini went ahead and slowly pulled Radhika near her to stand also Khandelwals reached at the same time. Ragini put tikka on Saaket's forehead and same she did for Shantanu. Because she had known him as Saaket very good friend.
The ceremony was just about to being and so bride was called and Saaket was already waiting for Khanak to come down. Ragini told Ameya to call Khanak.
Mean while Saaket went to wash room for a final touch up. He was very nervous and was scared and jerked out his hand when he felt one hand on his shoulder ,it was Shantanu. Dude you fine? Saaket looking at him I am getting very nervous. This is my first time. Shantanu without expressions Ya I know but chill you love Khanak and you are getting engaged to her and you know her.C'mon stop getting nervous .Lets go out everyone must be waiting for us.
Even then ya.I know her but its my first time. You wont understand it unless you go through it Saaket said while leaving the restroom. Shantanu followed him to the place where the ceremony was to take place. And just then the bride was called and all the eyes where directed towards the stairs.
Khanak stepped out of the sliding patio door allowing Saaket to gaze at her with loving eyes. Saaket just stared at her with a dumbfounded expression on his face. He got carried away with her inward beauty .He just looked at the way her saree was hugging her and making her appear as pretty as a fairy.He saw her coming down through the steps with her delicate small feet wearing a golden chappals in them. He couldent stop looking at her face and the way her hair was left open with a small but elegant bindi. And suddenly he was broken out if the beautiful moment by a manly voice Saaket!!! Saaket mom is calling you .when Shantanu saw him looking at Khanak and a natural wave made him look at her .
Shantanu thought She was looking beautiful with that marron silk draped around her delicate physic .The innocence she had in her eyes. He for the first time could not change his gaze away. He just kept looking at her elegant beauty .The way she carried herself.He felt like running his fingers through her silky hair.And feel that soft skin. Her large beautiful eyes felt like black pools of water and he felt like just getting lost in them. Her delicate neck line made a shiver run through his spine .
Shantanu!!Dude come lets go.What you waiting for? Saaket yelled from a distance. When Shantanu came out of his head trip he realized what he was thinking .And that it was not right .(God I should not be thinking this about her she is soon going to be the wife of my best friend .I should not even be looking at her. And of course how can I forget that I hate her for all the insane things she does. )But somewhere in the back of his mind he could not forget the innocence in her big eyes. And his wish to surrender himself in to it.
