Dear friends,
Recently i read an article about DSDDSB in TOI where the show was lavished with praise and there was also a mention that this show is a remake of telegu show called Shravanthi. Since curiosity was killing the cat, the cat ( read me!) decided to do some research on this Shravanthi show. What I read disgusted me to the core. 😲 Ofc, I know that DSDDSB can never be like that one but the production house, UTV should not have likened it to Shravanthi.😡
Here goes the story of Shravanthi. Shravanthi is a young middle class girl, who like her peers aspires to have a happy married life with a man who will love and understand her. All her dreams come crashing as one day, a prince charming, a rich and a stylish man approaches the family to ask for her hand in marriage. After the wedding, Shravanthi's nightmare begins and she realises that she is trapped in a golden cage. Her husband turns out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Her cup of sorrow and disgust (mine too) spilleth over when her husband wants her to go and please his business partner. Shravanthi plots her own death and escapes. She reaches another city where she meets n auto wallah. She finally feels settled in life till the auto driver sells her to a brothel owner. ...
I cannot carry on, my head is reeling. Why did UTV had to say that DSDDSB is based on Shravanthi?😕
Why ? am sure that this show will not plummet to such an abyss but in future such a misinformation should be avoided.
