Love story with a twist-Ajay Chaudhury

Ajay Chaudhury, the new khalnayak on the silver screen is garnering a lot of praise for his role as ACP Abhay Singh in the serial "Phulwa".

At a time when actors are playing chocolate boy roles, here is an actor who thinks different and is not afraid of making his presence felt on the small screen through a gray character.

"ACP Abhay is a very challenging role. It evolved from being a typical lover boy to a stern, rigid cop and every actor wants to portray variety in his role. The character gives me a chance to be versatile, and this way you not only offer variety to your audience, but also test yourself as an actor. Life is never black and white, a few shades of gray is a must," Ajay says.

From pretending to being Phulwa's lover to the revelation of him being a cop, the show follows a rather twisted love story between an unusual couple - a dacoit and a cop. "I hate these over-the-top romantic and mushy love stories," says Ajay, adding, "There will be no fun in life without any hatke twists."

After succeeding to con ACP Abhay, Phulwa is now married to him And it will be interesting to see how equations change between Phulwa and ACP Abhay. "'I love to hate you' seems to be the best way to describe our situation, but that's only for the show. We both share a great equation off screen and also help each other while enacting our parts on screen," says Ajay, who has gone a shade grayer with his character post this new marriage track.
