Rituparno Ghosh will fly into Mumbai... just to convince Jaya Bachchan to act in his next film

After working with Abhishek Bachchan in Antar Mahal, Rituparno Ghosh is now keen on signing Jaya Bachchan for his next film Sunglass. Ghosh wants to cast Bachchan as Konkona's mother in the film which co-stars Nasserudin Shah and Sanjay Suri. "I have approached her and plan to come to Mumbai to convince her to do my film. I plan to finalise everything by June 29," says Ghosh.
Speaking about the unusual title of the film, Ghosh says, "After my film Raincoat, I think Sunglass was the natural choice."
Meanwhile, Ghosh has postponed his other film Rahgeer starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. "The film was postponed because of certain date problems, besides we were all unprepared to go on the floors. Even I was preoccupied, since my mother had passed away and we had to re-adjust the dates."
What about Arjun Rampal doing the film? "Arjun was approached for one of the roles but I am unsure if he will be doing the film as he is getting into his own production," says Ghosh.
