Pyaar me kabhi kabhi--Updated p. 2

Hello all you lovely people,

I know I have like four other fan fics that I havent continue in months, but I just thought of this new idea for a fan fic and decided to pen it down. It's loosely based on 'how to lose a guy in 19 days' and 'rules: pyaar ka superhit formula'...key term: loosely, because I might take some ideas from it and change them around completely. I wanna try and keep this a light, fun kind of a fan fic, bcoz all my others have been pretty serious uptil now. Okay, enough of my babbling, on to the synopsis:

Pyaar me Kabhi Kabhi is a story of six individuals who come from different backgrounds and different walks of life. They all have one thing in common, however, and that is they're on a quest. A quest to master the art they call 'love'. For this, they will go to any length, try every trick in the book, and leave no stone unturned. What these six don't know, is that life has something incredible in store for them, something they have to figure out on their own as they tread on this path. A hilarious look at love, life, and fate. Stay tuned!

Character Sketch:

Angad Khanna- 20-something recent MBA grad. He's had a few relationships in the past, but has always been "the nice guy" and has been taken advantage of by ex-girlfriends. He's looking to shed his "good guy" image, and become a casanova. He's recently scored a job with the Sehgal Group of Industries

Kripa Sharma- Recently graduated from high school, this rich, popular girl is a snob on the outside, but inside of her lies a whole different world. She desires sincerity, honesty and love, but she can never find it in her phony world of material things.

Nishant Malhotra- An artist with big dreams. His sole goal in life is to woo and marry a filthy rich girl so that he can draw and paint to his heart's desire without having to worry about making an income.

Kannan Sinha- A simple girl from a middle class family. Or so it seems. Kannan leads a dual life as a grad. student and an undercover agent. She's hot on trail of some big shot businesses who're using illegal means of generating revenue. Amongst the investigated businesses are Sehal Group of Industries.

Kunal Sehgal- A rather careless young man who has just inherited his entire empire from his father. What he doesnt know is that his father was involved in many illegal businesses, and that's how the Sehgal empire grew. The only thing he cares about is enjoying life. He takes on the project of turning his newly found friend, Angad Khanna, into a version of--himself.

Anjali Gupta- A very serious young woman who has been dumped by her boyfriend of six years. She has vowed to change herself to such a degree that her ex-boyfriend would come back to her crawling on his hands and knees.

Alright, folks that's kind of an introduction...I don't know when ill officially start this, but be on a lookout for it.

Angad's Story

A tall figure walked into a dimly lit hallway; the dark silhouette gracefully glided down the narrow passage. His brooding shoulders, his masculine stance, his well defined jaw line shadowed by the hazy darkness were enough to draw sharp breaths from the fairer sex. And yet, there was this boyish awkwardness within him. The man stopped in front of a door of what would be his one bedroom apartment and fumbled in his pocket for his keys with one hand, while trying to hold on to numerous files and his suitcase with the other.

"Welcome to the good life, Angad Khanna" he thought sarcastically.

It was his first day after work, and already he was bombarded with files to take home. Angad walked into his dark apartment, and threw his things on the floor, in typical bachelor fashion. Not that he was a slob, but his recently busy lifestyle had put household chores on the bottom of the priority list.

The answering machine was beeping, so he walked over to it. Something in him hesitated, but he brushed it off and pressed the button.

"Hi Angad" a husky female voice spoke. The voice instantly puts a smile on his face. After a moment, the voice continues, "listen, Angad, I…Um…I don't think we should be together anymore. I mean, you're a great guy and all. I mean, you're really, really nice but some things just aren't meant to be. I hope you understand" Angad clenched, and then unclenched his jaw and shut his eyes tight. He couldn't believe he had been dumped—AGAIN. Every relationship he'd been in, somehow, for some reason that he'd never figured out, Angad had always been dumped. And the reason had always been, "You're just too nice".

It was true. Angad had always been the "good guy". Brought up by his widowed mother, he had immense respect for women—a little too much, sometimes. This earned him the "guy-next-door" label, and most girls only used him as a rebound.

Angad changed into his pajamas and dragged himself to the kitchen. He had no appetite, but he knew he needed food to function. He finally settled for some cereal and milk, while leafing through his work files. After a few minutes of trying to concentrate, in vain, Angad got up and got into bed. He tossed and turned, but could not fall asleep. Finally, he picked up his cell and made a call.

"Hey Kunal, you up for a round of drinks man?" Angad asked hopefully.

Minutes later, Kunal Sehgal, Angad's newly found friend, and Angad sat at a bar, drinking and discussing Angad's situation.

"You know what your problem is, Khanna?" Kunal Sehgal said, pausing to take a drink. "You really are just too nice." He pointed a finger right over Angad's left rib-cage. "Girls need a challenge man. They always want something they can never have."

Angad listened, confused. "You gotta be real mean" Kunal said flatly. "You gotta be a 'bad boy'. Chicks dig that." He winked as a scantily dressed female walked up to him, putting her arms around his neck.

Angad finished the rest of his drink. "Alright, Kunal. I agree. But I don't know how to…you know…how to be a chick magnet." Kunal grinned. "Don't worry yaar. You've got me, haven't you? We're going to turn you into a playboy in no time."

Angad just smiled, uncertain.
