Hey everyone! It's Monday morning and I am sure everyone is counting down the hours I am sure.
As I watched the ME on Saturday I thought back and realized Rashi doesn't know Ahem is helping Gopi to get her and Jigar together. So I thought how could CVs use this to expose Urshi.
Well my imagination ran wild and this is what I came up with.
Enjoy!
OS: Greed
"Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed."

Urmila Jeetubhai Shah walked away from crowed of people checking their lottery numbers in daze. Unbelievable, she was sure she was the lucky person who would be the winner of the lottery. She thought she would pay off the 100,000 to the agent and rest of it is all hers. She had very confidently assured the agent that she would have the money for him in five days. Now how will she come up with the money by tomorrow?
She finally came out of her shock of not winning the lottery when she reached home. Her eyes landed on the one lone ticket in the puja thali, and her hope was renewed. So what if she didn't win, may be Kinjal had won it. She rushed over to check the ticket, and looked at the number, but her hope took a nosedive. This was not the winning ticket either. She dropped the ticket back in the dish and walked over to the chair to sit in the chair. Her brain, that always had one idea or another, had gone blank.
She was about to get up and make tea for herself, when her eyes fell on her phone. There were two missed calls from Rashi. How could she have missed her daughter's calls, that never happened in the past, but she suppose her excitement of winning the lottery she didn't even here the phone ring. She pressed the call back button to call her daughter back.
Rashi was back in her room, smiling dreamily. She thought the movie plan had failed for sure but in the end it had all worked out. Once they returned from the concession stand, she got to sit by Jigarji for rest of the movie. Her mom had been right, only Gopi could have made this happen.
She smiled in excitement when her phone rang and saw that her mom was calling her. She couldn't wait to share this news with her mummy. " Hello Mummy, guess what? Your suggestion is working." She started telling her mom about all that has happened in the last two days.
On the other side Urmila listened to her daughter and as she listened idea formed in her head. She knew exactly how she could get the money. Her niece has become the goose that gave golden eggs, and she can very well take advantage of this, and her niece owes her a big thank you for saving her life.
Urmila thought why not ask for more than she needs so she can have money to spend on herself. "Rashi dikra I am very happy for you. I am glad at least you are safe and won't have to get dragged in my problems." Urmila smiled cunningly, she knew her daughter could never see her in distress.
Rashi frowned and thought why did her mummy sound so down about things, and she remembered when she called earlier her mom hadn't answered the phone. She hoped nothing bad has happened because of that choti kagdi. "Mummy, what is wrong, is everything okay?"
Urmila smiled in triumph. "What can I say dikra, I was depending on winning the lottery to pay back that agent, but we didn't win and now I don't know how to come up with the money. I don't know what that agent will do when he finds out that we don't have the money. We may get evicted from the house and Dhaval could lose his store also." Urmila sounded very forlorn.
Rashi sighed in frustration. "Mummy I told you to keep away from that Kinjal, why don't you ever listen? Now what are going to do about the money?"
Urmila was quick to replay. "Rashi I have an idea, and I need your help on this." Urmila her daughter is going to have to be convinced of her plan. "Mummy you know I can't help you, I am trying to win over everyone's trust. I have some hope now and I don't want to take any chances with this." Rashi pushed her hair back, she knew she needed to help her mom, but she just couldn't see anyway she would be able to help her.
"Rashi I have everything figured out, you just have to talk to Gopi." Rashi interrupted her mom. "But mummy.." Urmila cut in quick. "Just listen Rashi, that gawar owes me, I donated my blood for her, she won't be able to say no. And you just said her husband is showing her lot of care because he seems to be feeling guilty about the accident. She can talk to him and he will agree to help I am sure." Rashi thought for a moment and knew Gopi could indeed talk to Ahemjiju about helping and if they said Kinjal and Dhaval were the ones in trouble then Gopi would definitely help. "But mummy I thought you said you only needed 100,000 why are you asking for 150,000?"
"Arre gadedi, try to use your brain once in a while." Urmila rolled her eyes at her daughter's dumbness. She didn't get any brains from her at all. "You could ask for more than you need, so that you have some spending money. Look it this way, Jigarji is very upset with you so you can't ask him for money at all. This way you don't have to worry about your needs. And I need little help also, you know how your papa is, he doesn't make enough money to run the house, there is nothing left over for my pleasure." Urmila knew her daughter would never agree to give her all the money, but she can take half at least.
Rashi thought about her mom was saying and concluded it could be worked out. She has seen the way her Ahemjiju looked at Gopi lately, and Gopi is unaware of her husband's feelings, so it would be easy to take advantage of this. "Theek hai mummy I will go talk to Gopi." Rashi hung up the phone.
On the other side, Urmila also hung up the phone in excitement. She knew her daughter would talk that gawar into helping them. She had a greedy smile on her face. "Urmila you are brilliant." She thought to herself.
At Modi Bhavan, Rashi slowly walked towards Gopi's room, looking around to make sure no one was around. She had heard Ahemjiju go down to the study with his phone, so thought this would be good time to talk to Gopi.
She entered Gopi's room to see her sitting on the bed lost in thought. "Gopi, are you okay?" Gopi looked at her sister and smiled. "Rashiben you, please come in. Is everything okay." Rashi walked over to the bed to sit beside Gopi.
"Gopi I wanted to thank you for helping me today, but why are you tense?" Gopi's smile faded. "Woh Rashiben I think maji is very upset with Ahemji and me." Rashi put her hand on top of Gopi's. "Gopi don't worry I am sure Kakji will come around. I wanted to share something else with you also, but I don't think I should if kakiji is already upset with you." Rashi thought this is a good time to use Gopi.
Gopi sat up straighter. "Nahi Rashiben, you can tell me. What is wrong?" Rashi pretended to think it over. "Okay but don't say anything to kakiji, she is already upset with Kinjalben, this will make her more upset." Gopi nodded. "Okay Rashiben I won't say anything. Please tell me what is wrong with Kinjalben." Rashi proceeded to tell Gopi the whole modeling fiasco, ending with telling her that now Kinjal had to pay back the 150,000 that the agent gave in advance to her mom. She told Gopi that her mom had used the money for Kinjal only to make her comfortable, but now she will also be in trouble as well as Dhaval. Rashi heard Ahem and Jigar out in the hall and made a quick excuse to leave.
Gopi was left thinking about all that her Rashiben had told her. She felt bad for her mami and Dhaval bhai, but more than that she was worried for Kinjalben. What if the agent decided to send her to jail for not returning the money? Should she ask Ahemji to help his sister? Gopi didn't know what to do; she knew he was also still upset with his sister and may not want to help her.
Ahem walked into the room with his phone at his ear. He was confirming a meeting time for next morning. He noticed Gopi was starring into space, her face tense and upset. He quickly hung up the phone and went over to sit beside her. "Gopi what is wrong? Are you still upset about mom?" Gopi turned her head to see Ahem sitting beside her. She shook her head in no to answer his question. She debated about telling him, and was about to make an excuse but he was staring at her intently. "Ahem ji'woh I.." She looked away, she couldn't tell him. "Gopi tell me, don't be afraid, if you are still upset about mom I will go talk to her and explain."
Gopi stopped him when he stood up. "Nahi Ahemji it's not maji, woh Rashiben said that Mami had called. It's Kinjalben, she is in trouble." Ahem frowned, but seeing the fear on Gopi's face, he quickly smoothed his expression. "What kind of trouble?"
Ahem listened as Gopi told him what latest trouble her sister got herself into. It seems his sister is magnet for bad luck and trouble. If it's not one thing it's another. Now because of her, Dhavalji will also be affected as well as Gopi's mama and mami. He had to think about this latest crisis in Kinjal's life. "Gopi don't say anything to mom or anyone else for now. Let me see what I can do." Gopi smiled at him in relief and Ahem was lost, every time she gave him that sweet hero- worshipping smile he wanted to fulfill her every wish. He looked away before he did something stupid, like lean over and see if he could have a taste of those pink, full lips. He got up to hide his reaction. "Now go to sleep. You have had a long day, and leave everything to me, I will take care of it." He turned off the lights and went to the sofa to lie down and think over his options.
Next day Ahem had come up with a solution that wouldn't require his mom or family to know about Kinjal's latest trouble. No matter how he sliced it, his sister was still a family and he can't sit back and not help her, but he didn't want to upset his mother either, so decided to take care of the problem with himself and inform his mom later. He went to the bank and withdrew 150,000 from his personal savings account before going home. He went straight to his room and closed the door. Gopi was sitting on the bed glancing at a book, but wasn't reading it. "Gopi," she looked up at him with expectations. "I have the money to give to Kinjal, but we need to keep this between us. Tell Rashi also to tell your mami to not say anything to anyone and pay off the agent without any drama." Gopi smiled at him in appreciation.
"Ji Ahemji, I will tell her." Ahem handed the money over to Gopi so she could take it to Rashi. Gopi took the bag from Ahem and made her way to Rashi's room. She made sure her sister was by herself before going in the room.
When she saw that her sister was alone she entered the room slowly. "Rashiben?" Rashi looked up to see Gopi coming in the room. She stood up and met her half way. "Rashiben I have the money that Kinjalben needs. I am giving it to you so you can take it over to Mami to pay off the agent." Rashi smiled inwardly, her mom's plan worked like a charm. "Gopi mein, how can I take it over?" Rashi had to play innocent, she knew Gopi had no other choice and would reason with her to take the money. "Rashiben there is no other way to do this, it is best if you take it, I can't leave the house, maji won't allow it after the movie trip yesterday." Rashi was counting on this exact reason; she took the bag from Gopi reluctantly. "Theek hai Gopi, I will do this because this concerns our family and I want to do anything I can to help the family." Gopi smiled at her in approval and told her rest of what Ahem had instructed her to tell Rashi.
Rashi waited until Gopi was out of the room, then walked over and closed her bedroom door. She locked the money in her wardrobe and pulled out her phone to give her mom the happy news.
Next morning Rashi waited until the men left for office before approaching her mother in law. "Mummyji, can I go over and see my mummy? She called a while ago and said she was not feeling well." She saw Kagdi's head snap towards her but didn't look away from her saas.
"Okay Rashi you can go, but come back quick. Your kaki is going to visit Nani for a day also, so I will need your help around the house." Rashi shook her head from side to side. At least she won't have to deal with Kagdi's glares for a day. "Ji Mummyji." Rashi turned and walked away quickly before Kagdi came up with a reason to stop her.
As soon as Rashi arrived at her mummy's home, her mom pulled her to her room and closed the door. "Did you bring the Money?" Rashi pulled the bag out of her purse and gave the money to her mom. "What is this, you only brought 100,00?" Rashi started her mom in shock. "Mummy what are you saying, of course I only brought what you needed. We agreed I would keep the extra, and yes I will give you some also, but not now. I couldn't fit everything in my small bag." Urmila twisted her mouth. "Ok fine, but I will come over in two days and you can give it to me then."
Two evenings later Meethi opened the door to find Kinjal and Urmila at the front door. Koki came out of the kitchen to see them at the door and went towards the door. "Kinjal, Urmilaben, what are you doing here?" Kinjal walked in ahead of Urmila. "Jai Shree Krishna Maa, woh Phai wanted to come see Gopi bhabhi, so I thought I would come along too." Koki eyed Urmila then asked them to take a seat. Baa and Hetal also joined them and Rashi walked out of the kitchen to see her mom.
After everyone was greeted, Koki asked Meethi to bring snacks and drinks. Rashi volunteered to help. Urmila saw an opportunity to spend time with her daughter so she said she would go with Rashi because she wanted some water. Baa turned to Kinjal to ask about her health and Dhaval. The ladies continued their small talk until Urmila and Rashi returned. "Vavenji I wanted to see Gopi, is she in her room?"
Koki felt something was very fishy about Urmila and Rashi but didn't say anything. "Urmilaben she will be coming down in few minutes. Ahem just went up so I asked him to send Gopi vahu down for dinner." Urmila gave her signature grin but was cursing kagdi. She had thought it would be easier for her to go up to see Gopi and on the way stop in Rashi's room for the money.
Kinjal turned to her mom and spoke hesitantly. "Maa I wanted to thank you for loaning the 100,000 to pay back the agent." Urmila and Rashi's faces lost all the color and their mouth dropped open. They hadn't anticipated Kinjal opening her mouth to reveal how she had screwed up.
Koki was shocked. "Kinjal what are you talking about? I didn't loan any money to pay back for you." Kinjal looked at Urmila and Rashi and turned back to her mother. "But mom Phai said you gave the money, and Rashi bhabhi brought it over." Kokila turned to Rashi. "Rashi where did you get the money from?" Rashi was too scared to speak up. Koki raised her voice. "Rashi answer me." Rashi jumped and blurted out Gopi's name.
Just then Ahem and Gopi came down and joined therm. "Mom what's wrong? Why are you shouting?" Koki ignored him and turned to Gopi. "Gopi vahu did you give the money to Rashi to take to Urmilaben to pay off Kinjal's agent?" Gopi was terrified of her mother in law's temper. She glanced at Ahem and back to Koki nervously. "Ji maji" she said with trembling voice. "What? Where did you get the money from?" Ahem spoke up from behind Gopi. "Mom I gave Gopi the 150,000 to give to Rashi to pay off Kinjal's agent."
Kinjal gasped at the amount her brother mentioned. "But bhai I only owed 100,00 not 150,000, why did you give 50,000 extra." Ahem frowned and turned to Gopi. "But Kinjalben that is the amount Rashiben told me you owed."
Rashi knew if she didn't speak up she was going to be in big trouble and to save her neck as usual she shifted the blame right back on Gopi. "Gopi what are you saying? I only asked for 100,000 thousand and I took the bag you gave me and gave it to mom when I went to see her the next day." Urmila also supported Rashi. "Ha, and I gave the money to agent that morning and there was only 100,000 in it, not 150,000." Everyone was shocked and confused and didn't know what to say. Chirag and Parag had also joined the family. Jigar was on his way down when he stopped to hear what was taking place in the hall.
Kinjal turned to her mother and brother. "Maa, bhai, this gawar has managed to dupe you both again. First with the 500,000 necklace and now this 50,000; she puts on the innocent act and you both fall for it every time. Why do you believe everything she tells you?" Kokila and Ahem were too stunned, not that Gopi would lie to them, but the fact that Kinjal knew about the necklace.
Koki glared at Kinjal. "Wait just a moment Kinjal. First of all I have complete faith in my Gopi vahu, she is very honest, and secondly I had suspected you were behind ordering of the 500,000 necklace, but I wasn't sure, but by mentioning it today you confirmed it." She turned back to her vahu, and wasn't surprised to see Gopi's head down and tears streaming down her cheeks. "Gopi vahu you have nothing to be ashamed of, I will get to bottom this in just a moment." She turned to Urmila and Rashi. "Rashi where is the money?" Rashi started crying. "I am telling you the truth kakji I don't have the money. Gopi is setting me up, I know she doesn't want me back in this house and she is mad because you brought me back. She has always been jealous of me." Urmila also jumped in. "Vavenji my dikra is telling the truth, Gopi has always tried to get my daughter in trouble. I think she also was the one who got Sonal to tell the lies about me and my daughter."
Hetal couldn't believe how low her vahu and Urmilaben could get, she thought her daughter in law was changing, but she had been putting on an act of changing. She felt her temper rise and couldn't stop herself from snatching Rashi's arm and making her turn towards her. "Rashi I really thought you had changed, but you will always remain a liar." She pointed at Gopi. "You are saying she is jealous of you. Well let me inform you Rashi you would have never comeback in this house if Gopi hadn't talked Kokila into bringing you back and giving you a second chance. Chee Rashi, you have no shame at all." Hetal turned away from Rashi.
Ahem was next to move in front of Rashi. "How dare you accuse Gopi of keeping the money, she has no need for that kind of money Rashi, and even if she did she would never lie about it. She will ask for it from either mom or me. Another thing why would Gopi be jealous of you? She is been helping you come close to Jigar, and even asked for my help with it and you accuse her of stealing and being jealous of you."
Jigar came down with a bundle of money in his hand. "What else can you expect from her bhai? She is selfish, greedy liar. She wouldn't recognize the truth if it stared in her face." He held up the money. "Rashi I found this in your wardrobe, are you still going to deny in keeping the money?
Urmila had enough of her daughter's insult. "So what if she asked for extra money? What have you given my daughter in the year of your marriage Jigarji? Nothing, my daughter is always treated like a second-class citizen while this gawar is treated like a queen. What does she have anyway? She is a manhoos who killed her parents and brought nothing but bad luck to my house."
Kokila turned to Gopi and took her arm. "Gopi vahu let's go up to your room." Koki took Gopi away from everyone. Ahem turned to Kinjal. "Get out of my house and never show your face here again. I have helped you for the last time." He turned and followed his mom up the steps.
Parag took Baa to her room. Jigar turned back to Rashi and her mom. "I am not going to drag you out of this house, but I hope you feel any shame at all, you won't wait for me to ask you to leave." He also went up the steps. Chirag and Hetal stood in front of Urmila, and joined their hands. "Urmilaben we beg you, please take Rashi away from here, when we offered out son's alliance to your daughter we thought we were saving innocent girls reputation, but she brought us and our family nothing but pain and shame. You should have guided your daughter to follow a right path, but all you did was show her the wrong way. I hope you don't cause more problems for us and leave us in peace." Hetal turned to Meethi. "Meethi show our guest the door and please close the door." Meethi escorted Urmila, Kinjal and Rashi to the door.
