I agree maybe she is also understanding...because in the past...she had to tell Ahem on each incident on how to treat Gopi...infact at one incident related to Dhawal & Kinjle she told Ahem to appreciate Gopi for her suggestion...Gopi even with Ahem around looked for Koki's approval...so it is a challenge for her to see both of them building their relationship with her who was integral part till today not in it...I also know few parents who do it even after their daughters are married...

Soapbubble, did u notice that in today's epi when Modi men return from work Rashi opens the door...everybody comes in followed by jai sri Krishna ...Ahem Gopi are loveleshly staring at each other then Koki lowers her eyes( ahhh Koki was so good there)...it is in the first part of the video around 4:31/32 let me see if I can post the pics. ...aggg it is too much work...U just watch. I was like rolling my eyes.
Yay Ahem ji has set Mom Koki right ... Today when she asked Ahem for tea was very normal.
She asked him what is it? when he said nothing she let it go but with few stares to her Son & DIL 😆
Koki is learning to back off 😉 Ahem's balancing act b/w mom & wifey will be an amazing watch.

For now abs wonderful going...the trio are rocking😃

Great observation. Will have to go back and look again in the episode. But Koki is just too good for words. She is backing off. Yes.. But the other thing that tells me is the amount of faith she has in Gopi and Ahem.. Especially Gopi. From an insecure MIL she has done really good to become the perfect mother for Gopi. Helping her when in need and letting her husband take over after that.. Koki rocks

I don't know how long we women will have to keep trying to placate and please these tyrants ( ILS), until we either explode and break off or self-immolate. So it is abt time the gen x hubby shd step in, show parents the devastating effects of their harsh judgmental thoughts.

I have recently started watching SNs but when I watched some old epi on you tube... Kokila also was quite a terror MIL . She has her own complexes that's why her daughter Kinjal is so messed up.

Anju and Tina I agree with you both. This is why I enjoy watching this show, at first Koki was also very controlling and as we saw recently she didn't like the face that Ahem massaged Gopi's foot or the fact that she accidentally slapped Ahem, but when she saw how worried Ahem was for Gopi, and the kind of relationship she wanted to see between them is happening she is backing off. She is staying stern because she still doesn't know Ahem's true feelings.

I think Koki wants Ahem to do these things for Gopi because he loves her not out of guilt and responsibility. Coming days will tell us more.

As for the in laws in real life, I could write a book, that's all I can say.😈

Kokila modi is a very complex characters and is an interesting study for us ( All the Gohem fans)
She has an oversize ego. And an oversize ego is fundamentally driven by insecurity. And we all know the reasons for her insecurity. If you are secure then your ego has nothing to prove. Looking @ Parag we sure can guess that she did not get best kind of emotional & financial support from her Parag ji. That is why she keeps the shovel ready & ready to legally bulldoze him with no hesitation ( we audience have this...expression... Don't…ohh ...Please don't…ohh.) All this has made her very ego driven control freak and territorial. 🤢

She does not understand the territory of love as she has not shared it with a wonderful man in her life. That's why she cannot appreciate her son & DIL's relationship. She is abs not able to fathom that why a relationship should be based on equality, mutual respect and why Ahem does anything & everything to make Gopi happy! But here she has made Ahem a complete take charge kind of guy. ….whatever he does, he does it with conviction & might. According to him things done by halves are never done right. When he hated Gopi he hated her with intensity now that he is falling for her... he is loving her with even more intensity...can we blame him😳( we are all ready to smother him with affection now)😃

She is from the era of Pati Parameshwar but in her relationship Parag become a JKJ so she is scared if Ahem has his dad's genes then he'll surely become a JKG. But I fail to understand, that Chirag, who Koki considers such a successful businessman had a wonderful relationship with his wife. Has told Ahem & Jigar that he always used to take Hetal whenever he went on business trips. So all this would have happened under Kokila 's nose……why did she not take a notice of that. Maybe she was too busy shaping & educating Ahem & spanking Parag

Now Ahem has to knock some sense into Koki's messed up head. At least , she will listen to Ahem as he is not scared of his mom at all. Without hurting her ego he has to convey to her that both Gopi & He need to get equal chance to expand their wings & use their potential to the maximum by complementing each other.Then maybe she'll learn to adjust her expectations. Maybe give Parag another chance 😛…..now how does that sound?? Very cool na ( Kolaveri Di na lol😆😈) .

Second, We thought she had backed off, eh? The ME brought out a very immature Koki, sadly. Her eyes kept seeking them out... on the stairs, in the waiting space, in the hall...

yes, Ahem needs to make Koki understand, one way or the other. Either by confrontation, which is more dramatic, or by being quietly persistent and just doing his own thing. I mean, you do something unusual once, it's shocking but you keep doing it and everyone adjusts. This movie was a first but if he wants to take Gopi out again for chaat or icecream... Hetal may smile knowingly but what can Koki or anyone do?

He just needs to keep doing what he wants till she gets used to the idea. Luckily, Gopi is timid but she's also on the 'do what your heart says' bandwagon. I don't see her backing off from spending time with Ahem because Maaji doesn't like it. At least, not yet.
Frankly, Koki doesn't ahve a leg to stand on. It doesn't seem like Ahem is neglecting work, he's only balancing his life better. And if she wants little Modis, she better not interfere! Grrr 😡😡😡

Maybe he shd win businessman of the yr award, then Koki will have to back off . Right now Koki is sticking to bubble gum of an ego. She wants CONTROL. ...But now Ahem & Gopi will not function according to her wish...they are on the journey of discovering & falling in love with each other...which will evebtually lead to baby modis😃
Gopi shd stick to her Ahem ji like glue & say few sweet words to Maaaji that will do the trick 😛
